Hey Everyone, It has been a while, and there have been a LOT of changes since I last checked in on BBP. I started mining again, and I am curious as to what "Proof of Power" is under some of my received transactions. Is that the bonus that Rob added for using purepool?
Thanks, ride22
I haven't heard of that - is this in Purepool? If so Licht might have to answer that. Someone added a joke last week called PROWL (proof of orphan writing letters) but it was not me. Yes, that's what Purepool calls payments in the wallet.

I started mining in purepool, yes. However, I think I might have it figured out. I was looking it my receiving addresses and I have some labeled: "Proof of power mining," "Tithes", and "Business_Objects." I have no idea where those came from because I didn't add them. The "Tithes" was the address the wallet created for POG giving change, but its not currently in use - so that is normal. The Business_Objects address is also automatically created - it was used for associating a PODC CPID or sending an IPFS attachment so that is normal also.

Hi Everyone, Just a quick reminder for new people here. If you want to buy bbp on an exchange, you better don't use C-CEX. They are scamming people randomly. This results in funds that are lost or you can't login anymore. More info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=418700.4560For example: I can't visit the site anymore, it's just a blank page that loads, using a different browser doesn't make a difference. However when I'm on cellular with my phone, then I CAN visit the site. That means that my IP is banned. Best Regards, Mart Yes, we would be better off not even listed there. Doesn't look good when you are the only coin listed on a failed/scam exchange. Interesting to find this thread - I only knew about the apparently much smaller "community discussion." I just posted there as well, but I had heard that BBP/GRC was the only thing listed on C-CEX because the founder of those two coins had purchased the exchange from Yuri. I don't know if that is true or not, but as I had mentioned, it makes sense since those are the only coins left on there, and only the BiblePay dev seems to be able to contact "Yuri" at will... Can anyone confirm or deny if that is true? Maybe the dev/founder can, if people know how to reach him? LOL I hear a new one every day! No, I never made an offer to buy CCEX. This rumor probably came from the time when someone asked me if I wanted to buy CCEX for 600 BTC. I said I didnt have that kind of money, no thanks. I don't have any stake in CCEX. I think Yuri did not delist us because: A) He said GRC was the most novel coin created, B) Although hes not Christian he listed BiblePay as a favor since I had a good prior track record with him, C) We are one of the few that worked out 100% of the missing funds stolen on the exchange (IE we never had an unfunded fork liability). Impo, he was the only exchange that was there for us when BiblePay didn't have an exchange and that helped us in the early days when we first needed to liquidate funds for compassion. I haven't read through the complaints yet. I have to remain neutral on the issue. If the community feels like CCEX is hurting someone here, let me try to resolve it by Skyping the CCEX owner. (I recently skyped him for Capulos issue, Im not sure Capulo has that been resolved)? Anyone else who feels strongly about this, I would suggest they create a sanc poll, and if it passes (for example to cancel an exchange) I will honor that and make it happen. my case is still open ip blocked, account disabled Ok thanks. I just checked for a reply in skype. No reply yet - but be aware sometimes this takes 7 days to receive a reply.

I would tell him: 1) If he is ready to receive Jesus, first repent of all his sins, have someone read the sinners prayer to him (be born again) - and accept Jesus. Then see if he will go somewhere and be baptized in the name of Jesus and ask to receive the Holy Spirit (even if he has to get baptized in a bathtub). I put this first, because if he can receive the Holy Spirit, reading the bible will make 1000% more sense. The Holy Spirit provides divine assistance in understanding the bible. 2) Read something easy, like the Gospel of Matthew first. Re-read it until he understands some of it. Watch youtube videos on Christians who visited heaven or hell (like our pool External Links | Gospel Links) - because those build faith. If he is not ready to receive Jesus first, tell him just take baby steps like watch the external links, and build faith. Read a little of the bible and try to understand it.

Does anyone have any family members working at the salvation army?
Maybe we should call them to see if they will accept biblepay or another idea is if they have 401ks for employees see if we can give the employee BiblePay in place of the 401k, and the treasurer pays Compassion on our behalf in cash.
We can also work with them to accept mobile tithes. I've never been to a salvation army church, Im going to check one out soon.

I don't, but considering they taken in ~$150M annually in donations, are we big enough at this market cap to play with them? Always trying to be practical, not negative.

Everyone has to start somewhere. The goal would be to get our foot in the door. Technically, no we aren't big enough (just as we arent big enough to help Venezuela), but if I was friends with the CEO of SA for example, I would show him first hand what we are doing, and we could get a relationship with one branch to handle 5 employees benefits for example (if they liked us enough) and that kind of relationship would help us exchange fiat for compassion to biblepay (for the employee) etc. You can scale from there. For Venezuela we need a gray market pastor who is willing to exchange bread for BBP for example in the back of the church.

I just wanted to let everyone know we have a new dev that just joined us this week.
The dev said he wants to remain anonymous for now but will post on the forum once he feels comfortable.
He is working on a project related to the UI, but asked me not to mention what he's working on.
I think we will hear from the dev in a few months (according to his rough ETA). He said he will not enter proposals until the first version is ready.

The State of The Bible Pay as of May 2019
What is everyone working on?
MIP: Mobile staking and Mobile Tithing for Evo, BiblePay-Mobile for the iPhone, Creating a Chia-BLS RPM for Linux, Releasing MacOSX for Evo
Mr. X: Something for the UI
TheSnat: Biblepay-Central web site, similar to Dash Ninja with Block Explorer
Rob: Testing Evo, Biblepay decentralized orphan payment system proof-of-concept, pool mining in Evo (Evo against pool.biblepay.org), Biblepay-core non-sanctuary voting system
Bhavani: Proposals page enhancements (totals by expense type) in wallet
Marcus: Enhancing Bezaleel theme, creating a youtube channel
Togo: Writing PR articles, summarizing features and Testing
(Please let me know if I missed anyone!).
How is Evo testing going: Very well! We completed a major milestone today! We flipped dip15 (Deterministic Sanctuaries) On, and the test was successful (we have 7 deterministic sancs running in testnet), being paid in a deterministic way, voting on GSCs and voting on proposals. We also passed our tests for being the first known coin with Watchman-on-the-wall compiled in (meaning we don't need extra sanctuary software for The Sentinel). ABN, Anti-GPU, UpgradeSanc, StableProd, GSCs and QT all passed also.
Overall I feel our ETA to release Evo is approx 45 days. We still need to release one more round of features and perform complete end-to-end testing.

In terms of these charities, is there a way to leverage masternodes or something else to create some kind of ROI for these employees? Or is ROI a bad word in this case?

The only selling point we have so far is that we are deflationary (by 19.5%), and crypto, so it would need to be someone who wants crypto exposure rather than traditional investments, and I was thinking one benefit could be that the payment normally sent into the 401k would go to compassion, and our governance payment to the employee. EDIT: Yes I guess another aspect of this would be the reserve funds the salvation army stores away for disaster relief. They probably hold 100 million in the reserve fund until disaster hits. We could talk them into storing 1 mil in sanctuaries (as an investment) and when they need it they can liquidate a sanc, etc.
