A note as well it does not find them at all in MM no matter what I try.
Runs fine with the bat file string I posted though in BFGMiner on its own.

For some reason it will find one when you use that string but not more than one unless you specify each COM.
It is strange and might be why I cannot get them to work in MM.

Hi Everyone,
A quick question.
I have a bat file that runs great for BFGMiner and I want to use it for MM so I can use Avalon Nano's with MM.
Driver for those that want one that works with BFGMiner.
http://www.lpcware.com/system/files/lpcopen_examples_windows_usb_drivers_v1_10_0.zip
Here is the bat file.
Code:
bfgminer.exe ^
       -S ICA:\\.\COM66 -S ICA:\\.\COM67 -S ICA:\\.\COM68 -S ICA:\\.\COM69 -S ICA:\\.\COM70 ^
       -o stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -O WorkerName:123 ^
       --set-device ICA:baud=115200 ^
       --set-device ICA:reopen=timeout ^
       --set-device ICA:work_division=1 ^
       --set-device ICA:fpga_count=1 ^
       --set-device ICA:probe_timeout=100 ^
       --set-device ICA:timing=0.22 ^
       --api-listen ^
       2>log
So far I have not been able to get it to work in MM.
Any help is welcome.

Does BFGMiner report them when you run:
Code:
bfgminer -d? -S all

Refer to the following link for how to find log files generated when scanning for local hardware:

Does BFGMiner report them when you run:
Code:
bfgminer -d? -S all

Refer to the following link for how to find log files generated when scanning for local hardware:

https://github.com/nwoolls/MultiMiner/wiki/Local-Devices#windows

Please see the link I posted above for instructions on finding the log files created by MultiMiner when it scans hardware. The devices are not going to work properly in MultiMiner unless BFGMiner lists the devices when run with the commands found in the log files.

https://github.com/nwoolls/MultiMiner/wiki/Local-Devices#windows

You can also run your batch file with --api-listen, --api-port and --api-allow and MultiMiner will automatically display that miner's information under the Network group.

Finally you could try editing the KnownDevicesCache.xml file (found in ~./config/MultiMiner on Linux and OS X and %appdata%\MultiMiner on Windows) and adding the devices manually (with MultiMiner closed).

@Nwoolls
I think theres a problem with the connection to the S5 (latest firmware) miners. Just the S5 - I have S3's with no problems. The hash rate will disappear from the interface. The miner will continue hashing. Just on the interface the miner will not be there. Might take a day to disappear. I restart the miner and the miner shows back up in the Multiminer interface. Thanks in advance

Any ideas on this one. Thanks

No problem - let me know if you have any trouble adding the custom GPU algo.

It sounds like your miner stops responding to RPC API commands. To verify, wait until it happens again and then:

If you can confirm this is happening I can try some things like upping the connect & read-timeouts to see if we can work around the odd behavior.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

@Nwoolls

Thanks

It sounds like your miner stops responding to RPC API commands. To verify, wait until it happens again and then:

If you can confirm this is happening I can try some things like upping the connect & read-timeouts to see if we can work around the odd behavior.

@Nwoolls - Ill start running multi miner again and check the logs. Thanks

Hello, newbie here  Grin
I have an ASIC gridseed orb 5 chips dualminer, I'm using cpu miner for Scrypt it's okay but when it comes to BTC I can't mine, I installed Zadig driver, I tried cgminer with this code " cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u yassassin_1 -p 123 --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=750,chips=5,modules=1,usefifo=0,btc=64 --hotplug=2 "
But all I see is this, and it doesn't change at all

You can add any Backend Miners and any GPU Algorithms you like to MultiMiner. Both are described in the help docs. Please let me know if you have any questions on this and I will update the docs to include more info accordingly.

Ah ok didn't know this. I will try to get this to work as it is going to be difficult I think as it is not a GPU coin CPU or Asic coin it is Hard drive coin that the client generates shares based on proof of capacity. Ill give it a go anyway and see about following the instructions on adding in on guide you posted.

Ok so  I have imported the miner into the software and set up in advanced section however. I do not think going to work because their is no option to scan for hard drives as only detects usb asic and port dependent hardware. If their was option to scan or so might work.

Also what commands are used to set up to use the miner as it is miner.exe for the program to start in its own window etc. So what command would I put for it to start miner.exe ?

This only works with forks of CGMiner and BFGMiner that adopt their standard RPC API. It will not work with "any old miner" executable. From what you are describing I doubt this would work.

What is the backend miner specifically?

Edit: thanks btw, I updated the wiki to mention the RPC API requirement.

I know it is not based sgminer from looking at the creator http://burstcoin.eu/download/14-blago%27s-burst-miner so unsure if will work as you said doubtful will work.

@nwoolls - Looks like the api is definitely being dropped by the Antminer S5. I have S3+ that do not drop the API. How can I help getting it fixed. I have another monitoring app that does not have the problem but I prefer yours. Thanks in advance

What I would need is documentation for their API if there is one. I don't see anything on their website or Github page:

https://github.com/Blagodarenko/miner-burst/

If there is an API for their miner it's possible to add support to MultiMiner.

If the miner isn't responding to RPC API commands it's not going to show / work in MultiMiner.

MobileMiner switches all devices at once - there is currently no per-device coin switching.

However you can switch individual devices between coins in MultiMiner without changing all devices at once. Select the devices you want to change and then right-click to show available coin / pool configurations.
