If you dump on btct now then you are going to piss off a lot of people and probably make much more then $5k. Let's not pretend it was some favour unless you guarantee you won't sell those shares for a few weeks at least.
As for the new people saying this is all bananas. Well it is and it isn't. If you actually read the plan and did the math, wch is available on the front page of the other activeminer thread, then you'll understand.
The plan is solid but it's down to eASIC to manufacture the hardware, and we're a couple of weeks from a press release about that at the mo.
I guarantee I won't sell my shares until 2014. you have my word. If I do sell, I should get a scammer tag for lying. Mmmm, strong words. And how we could know if you sold or not? I really don't know what to say... we both had the right to do business, nobody is getting screwed I have nothing against your transfert and the fact you paid for that. And I would not have anything to say if you sold the 120k on btct now. But now you are giving your word, so I'm just curious about that |

Guys, the 120,000 shares were mine. I made a deal with Ken. Because he is so busy, I paid him a VERY high premium to have my shares transferred from BF to BTCT. The premium went directly to the company. I advise everyone with less than 120,000 shares not to do this, as the price was very high and wouldn't be worth it for most shareholders. I paid him $5000, which went directly to the company.
I did get immediately on the horn and called Kens office. I was transferred to his cell and asked what was going on with this 120k dump. It was explained to me that a serious investor had made a deal to him in fiat to transfer those over to Btct. I guess now as we see that was Volcanic. When talking to him I could tell he was on the road (can hear the wind), and asked where he was headed to, while apologizing for calling after hours. He had told me he was on the road to meet with the engineering firm. I had asked how many hours were left in the drive and he stated 4-5 hours. Thanks for the update Streets.  Yes thank you. now will everyone please stop pissing and moaning and go back to constantly refreshing BTCT! Your welcome. I called Ken back to get some more clarification. The shares removed from BF will be pulled down tonight after he is done driving and can get on his laptop. Currently BF sits at 6,241,329 shares, should see this drop by 120k I would imagine no later than tomorrow. |

Because I don't believe in the politics of Bitfunder. They are trying to legitimize the exchange, whereas burnside is saying fuck it with FIAT all together. If there is one exchange I think will win over time it's BTCT and I just don't want the hassle of declaring shares after an exchange seizure
Are you sure they're so different in their 'politics' ? Burnside said he and Ukyo were in collaboration talking to legal counsel to alleviate any regulatory issues. Exactly. Neither exchange is sitting in a better position with regard to regulatory action. That said, my feeling is that barring fraud, the chances of anything happening at all are remote. They can each take some steps to better protect themselves, but everyone should know that this is part of the risk we all face playing this incredibly fun and profitable Bitcoin game, but it's certainly not the biggest risk. |

Some chunks appeared if you look around. I've been watching carefully. Of course nothing can be proved and there may be others - you wouldn't sell all at once!
And I have nothing against volcanic for pulling this off either, I just think it's rich to imply it was about exchanges and not profit motivated. You're welcome to keep deflecting people but it was a clever, savvy move. Bravo!
Anyone who can't see through it needs their eyes testing though.

If you moved the shares due to paranoia or you moved them to make a quick buck, why the hell should ANY of us care? We all do what we feel is in our best interest whether that be short or long term. Get over the witch hunt guys. Nothing wrong occurred, the money will be distributed in dividends for the rest of us, and at the end of the day even of the share price drops a bit we all know that once eASIC news arrives this whole situation will be moot. Honestly guys, please grow up a bit. |
