yeah the dev team needs to step up the communication to the greater community, no matter how much work is going on behind the scenes if things like littledigger bought up arent seen to it just looks like a dead coin

Mayb we need new members on the dev team? or some bounties/giveaways to promote SXC like dogecoin was done at the beginning. SXC has enough potential to not be dropping in value continously like this... perfect name to target a huge niche industry and a lot of websites accepting SXC, why is so many other shitty coins doing better?

This is specifically what I brought up pages and weeks ago but I was shot down by others here and Lavajumper himself. People seem to think developing backend is somehow going to get this coin adopted outside the mining/trading community surrounding this forum and the exchanges. You've got to step up and go out and get this coin advertised and talked about. I've seen no marketing(let along the aggressive marketing) needed to make this coin a success. My specific point was that this needs to be done alongside technical development not AFTER it. What good is a shiny new product if you can't even be bothered to promote it. Lack of advertising is where Altcoins go to die. AND FOR GODS SAKE put a forum on the website for supporters to gather and support the coin!!!111 That's 101 stuff. Well, Theres been some great things happening with SXC..
Media attention , new services, a new exchange and new merchants...
But the price is down.. This information isn't getting out there...
Our official website hasn't been updated.. This is a problem, one I raised a week ago... It's still not updated.. A nice shiny new website would be nice, but in the weeks or months that it is being developed a quick update on the old one would stop a lot of negative impressions about SXC being formed.
I started an official page on facebook.. there was one, it went against SXC's branding and represented SXC as purely speculative, and elicited donations, none of which went to SXC's development.. It also didn't contain any news so it gave the impression SXC was standing still..
That's much the same as the two twitter feeds... I'm trying to get that under control as well, but my request for an "@sexcoin.info" email account to be setup has not born any result... I guess there's more important things taking place...
In the end I guess there's not much I can contribute to SXC, so I am reducing my involvement in the project with a view to leaving the development altogether.

Well it is hard to promote a coin professionally if you do not even have an email address at the coin's domain. Here is what I believe SXC needs to do to really push forward: - Set up a service which allows subscription payments in SXC - as most of the industry uses the model of subscription payments. (if coinpayments.net does this you are already halfway there). Offer a bounty for this if coinpayments.net do not offer it. - Email / contact thousands upon thousands of adult websites educating them as to why accepting SXC is a smart move - especially as the price could easily reach the highs of late December again once the coin is more widely adopted (i.e they should profit from this), as well as the free marketing and exposure they will get as a result of accepting SXC from the SXC community. - Issue press releases re the latest developments in SXC monthly Do the above and the coin will really take off Don't do it and it's not going to go anywhere - you can't just not promote a coin and pray for it to become popular. The fact SXC has been getting the kind of media coverage it has been getting is due to its name - this has provided a good foundation for the coin - it's now time to aggressively market SXC and enjoy the results EDIT: And for god's sake have a professional Facebook and twitter which is updated regularly, and a dedicated SXC forum. Offer a bounty to have the site redesigned too. It's not that hard! There has been some pr for SXC too: http://bitcoinprbuzz.com/bitcoin-alternative-sxc-gaining-in-popularity-a-sure-thing-according-to-max-keiser/

Probably this coin needs more love from some of the devs or simply more people involved from the base. I know It's really hard working in our daily jobs during the day and try to make something succeed the rest of it, but maybe It's time to let more people join the project, with renewed forces and some fresh air. As an example, I sent a mail some months ago and offered to translate for free the website to spanish (400 million people speak spanish accross the globe so not bad for half an hour of work), but I received no answer and the website is still only in english, months later.
I really believed in SXC, and still do (a little less though), but I see no progress as I see shitty coins with no purpose grow everyday. As someone said before, advertising should come alongside technical development, not after. There should be teams of people with concrete purposes. Let the developers develop, while some other advertise, others manage the community, etc.
Said that, thanks to devs like lavajumper for your hard work. It's not easy...

Well I bit the bullet.. the facebook page is here : https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sexcoin/334179413387490The twitter account is Sexcoin Development @SexcoinDevTeam Before anybody says anything, I thought it best to differentiate from the fanboys with a name that suggested an official voice.. I'm tweeting each and every follower that they have with: Wondering what's happening with Sexcoin ? Follow the Sexcoin Development Team to hear the lastest news and promotions ! we got "so sexy in the community who's doing a great job of producing memes for advertising.. So I'm trying to drum up some traffic, so they will be seen when they are released

http://sexcoin.info , updated. If you get the new site, there will be a 'client' nav link at the top. If that link isn't there, you may need to clear your cookies/cache or some mess. There are still updates that need to be done. We're working on it.

Is there any work being done to turn the difficulty up? It seems that a big part of the declining price is due to a HUGE amount of new coins being produced on a daily basis and then dumped with market orders. Worldcoin will have about the same amount of coins in the end and only a few thousand are mined every day. Of course they have other things going on aswell but I think the relative scarsity plays a large part in the price difference as well.
