Thanks for the info Matthew. Exiting times!

Don't exit time, it's not safe!

And yeah, you should probably have waited for the whole launch thing till after your vacation anyways, IMHO.

Hey everyone, im the main developer for CSC City, just giving you all a status update since Matthew is on vacation.

Things are a bit late but looking to get everything finished up sometime tomorrow so we can do the soft launch, then work out any kinks that pop up. Mostly just some display stuff to do and a couple things to add to the account area. I havnt read through this whole thread, but to answer some of the concerns I saw... yes, the site is using a pre-made template for the design.. however the code behind the site is totally custom built, not just slapping together a bunch of open source and random scripts  Smiley . The whole backend, account system and betting system is designed specifically for cryptos (CSC in this case) and for handling multiple types of games, pretty much anything you can think of that involves betting on a random number or set of numbers.

Also, I would like to announce that one of my websites, https://coincontroller.com will very soon be accepting CSC. Its a chain game, similar to "bitcoin gem" if anyone remembers that. Except better and more advanced. A better explanation and more details are on the site, so check it out. Expect CSC support completed within the week.

Thanks for the update.

It still sounds like you have developed a back end system that could become available to other cryptos.....  even if it is awesome and unique to CSC (for now.)  I really hope that Casino Coin will enjoy significant first mover advantage from your efforts. We will need to get the word out fast!

Be positive! Other crypto's may make thousands of  casino's. Casinocoin = casino. No worries.

Guys... Any suggestions please.  I have just downloaded the casino coin wallet.  But it says 0 active connections to casinocoin network.

Whilst I am happy to hold most of my coins at cryptsy for now.... I would like to be able to use a wallet... So I can at least make a deposit at CSC when it opens.

What's the story with the wallet?  Please help.  Thanks.

Make a file named casinocoin.conf and place it in C:/user/Appdata/Roaming/Casinocoin/.

Put in there:

Which makes no sense to me. The really hard and time consuming stuff is the backend. So why not do the frontend (the design) properly as well? It wouldn't take much time or effort really.. just hire a web designer on elance or wickedfire and they'll have it done in a 1-2 weeks or less. Especially if they start out using the already existing template, which would make it even easier to customize as they don't have to start from scratch.

I copied the data you gave me into notepad and saved it as casinocoin.conf and I placed it in the casinocoin folder which contains the qt file and the other files etc.  I closed the wallet.... Waited for a minute.... Then reopened the wallet.   5 minutes later still 0 connections.   Can anyone help please?

You are almost done.

Place the casinocoin.conf in C:/user/Appdata/Roaming/Casinocoin folder. (on windows 7)

Maybe the folder is hidden, then do:

to unhide it:
start>control panel>folder options>view tab>check the view hidden files and folders box>apply>ok

then you'll be able to navigate to it more easily

Be sure you saved it as casinocoin.conf and not casinocoin.conf.txt.

When I click on the CasinoCoin info link, second in the link bar, it opens casinoco.in in a separate window, it should open in a tab first if available.

Technically, yes the system could be used for other cryptos. The thing with cryptos is, at least from an API/command standpoint, they are all pretty much exactly the same. I could swap the CSC server credentials with ones for a bitcoind server, and it would operate in the exact same way, same commands and everything. That being said, there are no immediate plans to use the system for other cryptos besides CSC.

Im primarily a programmer rather than a graphic designer (few people if any are experts in both Smiley ). It was Matts decision to use a pre-made design and focus on the backend stuff. at least at first, it would be fairly trivial to implement a new, custom design sometime in the near future.

So, the casinocity is not open yet.
I was hoping for the opening of a real casino and not just the primedice clone :/

Very soon my friend Smiley
