Did the doge net hash seriously just surpass Litecoin? Lots of miners switching over!

Doge hashrate is almost at 100 GH/s. Litecoin is just at 70 GH/s. Payouts are back to how it was in mid-december for 1 or 2 days only...

What do you think happens when middlecoin dumps dogecoins equal to 544 BTC later today? MASSIVE CRASH!!! ONLY IDIOTS WHO BELIEVE THIS IS A GOLD RUSH WHO JUST STARTED!

Someone sounds like they are butt hurt. Made a bad decision did you ? Not to worry, I am sure that fool you took advice from has your back.

Tard.

Dear fellow middlecoiners, in light of this happy, high-payout day, would you fancy helping out a fellow in need and give me hints on how to get my BAMT setup running? I'm completely lost... Here's my thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=426227.0

I will reward whoever gets me mining with good ol' hard BTC!

I am running the Slax miner 0.1 in this thread...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389667

Working very well.  Looks like they added new wireless drivers for version 0.2.  Runs great in RAM from a USB stick.

I think I need Atheros or Realtek drivers... Also some dude seems to think Slax doesn't work with multiple Gpus... I'm trying to get six to work!

Your best bet might be plugging your BAMT rig via ethernet into a wireless router (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122373). The router will connect to you home wifi and will serve as a bridge for your rig. Very little to none configuration is required. BAMT is a pain to configure with wi-fi, I spent couple days configuring my Edimax adapter even though I am not a Linux newbie.

I'm using 3 on 2 different rigs (both running 0.1).  Just created a new USB stick for 0.2 and will try it tonight when I reboot to change out some riser cables.  Don't know about the drivers, but I'm using some cheap a$$ ralink wifi and the drivers were already there.

Ah! Here is your solution then :

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=2924.570

"I was able to get BAMT v1.2 working with my Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H with a built-in Atheros network adaptor.
I downloaded the alx drivers from http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/networking/alx
1) Link to driver https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/backports/2013/03/04/compat-drivers-2013-03-04-u.tar.bz2
2) Extracted and ran './scripts/driver-select alx'
3) make
4) make install
5) modprobe alx

From that point I was able to see eth0 interface via 'ip link show' command.

Hope that helps some with Atheros chipsets."

Yeah. I had the same issues trying to set it up on one of mine too (G1 Sniper 5). There is a problem with this and Gigabyte mobos.

To all those who experience high rejects ratio.
Just find out "expiry" in cgminer needs to be set up accosdingly to the delay between miner and the server.
In my case best setting turned out to be "7", not sure if this is just coincidence, but ping to eu. server is 70ms, which means optimal setting is 10% of the ping, sounds weird, I know.

Here are last 1,5h starts after I found out why so many rejects appear
http://imagize[Suspicious link removed]ageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/35/cbk4.jpg

graph stats
http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/125Fmn2kazyUVNEhabDZtacmB7yReniuWL.html

So I believe you can check ping, divide by 10 round it up and set it as starting point in searching of your best expiry value.
Before I had 15-20% of rejects - 50% of HD7850 value Smiley.

In case this helped your earnings and you find my time spent on the investigation was worth it feel free to share some of your extra earnings with me.
BTC -> 125Fmn2kazyUVNEhabDZtacmB7yReniuWL

EDIT
expiry at "8" works even better, so the relation to ping seems only to be coincidence.

Dear Middlecoiners,

I hope that you do understand that the DOGE craze will die soon, so please be prepared for the regular payouts and even less. Just don't start posting all the "why are my earnings going down" BS when it happens and enjoy it while it lasts.

In the meantime let LTC diff go down so we can then move there and shake it.

Try searching for the file :

sudo su -
find / -name "compat-drivers*"

Why is the difficulty switching around so fast on the US east server?  Are the others doing that?

BAMT is a pain to configure with wi-fi, I spent couple days configuring my Edimax adapter even though I am not a Linux newbie.
I spent about 5 minutes configuring my wifi adapter on BAMT (or the SMOS variant)  just ditch network-manager and use wicd.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002RM08RE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

# echo 'blacklist rt2800usb' >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
<plug in wifi adapter>
# update-rc.d -f network-manager remove
# apt-get install wicd wicd-curses
# wicd-curses

Tell it to use wifi adapter WLAN0 and enter your encryption type & key and be sure to check the automatically connect check box and bobs yer uncle, you now have wifi on BAMT/SMOS.

Still a couple of hours to go until payout time, but early exit polls show a landslide victory to middlecoin and h20 today Smiley
