Agree. Everyone can say whatever they want - future of bitcoin/crypto, next BTC, etc... A lot of projects attempted to at least attain even half of the popularity of BTC, but, they failed. And few months from now, visit this thread and more than likely the project that the OP was talking about is already dead. Bitcoin is bitcoin and no matter how hard those new altcoins try to defeat bitcoin, they will not be able to. This coin had already established its name and as the most popular crypto which many people are interested in investing to, no altcoin would ever be able to beat that. Bitcoin continue to rise and as soon as early 2018 come, there will be more demand for bitcoin. Bitcoin will remain on the top so instead of trying to beat bitcoin with a new altcoin why not just invest in it? I agree with everything you said about the reputation that the bitcoin has already established up to this day. But I guess the statement that the new altcoin might beat bitcoin someday isn't completely a non-sense. Just as we know cryptocurrencies are very volatile which means they are very prone to instant changes, either negative and positive. What's good is that now, I can say that bitcoin is still in good shape. More importantly, be skeptical in investing on these cryptocurrencies. |

To date, prices for all alternative coins are very dependent on bitcoin. Perhaps in the future, some of the coins will be able to approach bitcoin by capitalization, perhaps even exceed the capitalization of bitcoin. But in this market, it will always be the most liquid coin.

A market depends on the decision and the emotion of investor without the assurance from the government, it is very simply to change by the rich - the whale - have many money enough to change the market. No new coins can beat bitcoin since nothing could beat bitcoin so far. The purpose of the new projects must be providing new things to the market. It shouldn't be beating bitcoin up. |

When posts like this pop up, it is important for people to call it out for what it is.
There is so much new money coming into crypto that there are a lot of noobs who will easily fall for stuff like this.
That is bad for the entire health of the crypto economy and affects all of us.
When someone comes on bitcointalk with a newbie account with very little posts, take their advice with a grain of salt.
If someone with a newbie account and very little posts come on bitcointalk and shills or promotes a coin, don't trust them at all.
In fact, if anyone is promoting or advertising any coin at all, be very skeptical.
In real life, there is no way you would trust a person who you don't know and have never met come up to you and say, "Hey! Spend a thousand dollars to buy this thing. It's awesome! Trust me!"

Whenever I spend times to read about an altcoin on forums or boards, or even read their announcements, they always promise to be better than Bitcoin and faster and simpler to use with lower fees and everything but there is still no altcoin that actually surpassed Bitcoin and it probably there won't be anytime soon.

No altcoins will be able to overcome btc.
This bitcoin had established its name already and is the most popular crypto which a lot of people wants to invest in, definitely, no altcoin would ever succeed in beating that. Bitcoin value continue to rise and very soon in early 2018, there will be massive demand for bitcoin. And it will remain at the top.
