For right now, many objections are being filed, If you are a creditor and are part of the liquidation, i would suggest making sure you have all materials gathered up that give proof to purchase, and that you are owed money.  they are trying to get peoples claims completely disallowed, basically offering more available money to the lawyers and bigger buyers to increase their approved claim.
I have seen people discussing objections to claims on this, and you only have a short time to respond. Its a chance of you basically giving up your right to any available funds and handing them over to other people like lawyers.

Once the objections are done, and plan fully confirmed, liquidation will take effect, and then dispersal of any funds if i understand correctly.

I just got the objection letter today, and if I understand it correctly it means that they are moving to convert my claim to a specific "unsecured" dollar amount. In my case the debtor's lawyer did not tick the "disallow" box so I'm not sure if my response is required. I am basically tacitly agreeing to the compensation amount denominated in dollars. No doubt if my claim had a greater dollar value they would move to "disallow" it for sure!

Happy New Year all!

I checked https://archive.org/details/gov.uscourts.canb.522575_201512 (thanks for the link!) but it seems it only covers larger creditor claims.

Is the default to disallow claims? Should I assume my (small) claim is disallowed since I did not receive any written communication over the past month or two?

I would assume nothing at this point.
If you don't see your name across the documents, that doesn't mean they won't try this later, some people are on the list and have verified they have not seen any kind of notice in the mail.
we will see what comes of all this

FYI: http://www.coindesk.com/bankrupt-bitcoin-mining-firm-trustee-seeks-return-of-funds-from-former-promoter/

Quote
A California bankruptcy court is set to weigh in on whether bitcoin should be considered a currency.

The hearing, set for 19th February, follows months of legal wrangling between the trustee of bankrupt bitcoin mining firm HashFast and Marc Lowe, a former promoter for the service who operated under the handle 'CypherDoc'.

It only means that one of the scammers will have to return a payment and not get a windfall out of it as he liked to put it. I would be surprised if even part of that money found it's way back to the customers.

At this point I think most would be happy with a USD refund, but that seems to be taking a sweet long time. Any update on this (from you guys that have PACER access)?

wow and here's something in that article to note;

"The FTC revealed that Butterfly Labs took at least $20 million from consumers, and potentially up to $50 million. This month, Butterfly Labs and two of its operators, part-owner Sonny Vleisides and general manager, Darla Drake, agreed to settle FTC charges. However, even though the judgment was $38.6 million against the company, the FTC agreed to collect only $15,000 because they were unable to pay more."

15,000$ is all running BFL scam cost them in the end ;\

they are on a beach right now, rich off our btc i bet ;p
this is highly likely to me, as i have a source involved in Garza's bs legally, and they are having trouble locating over 6million$$$,

Nothing stopped them Smiley
They aren't on a beach. They are up in the air if I recall right. Yes because with each mailing they can claim absurd handling fees and remember, they get paid first, the victims get paid after the lawyers get paid, if there is anything left over
