I think the following can explain how the possibility of virus gaining access into the system is achievable even with the suppose protection one got even when there is a combination of one or more such protection(antivirus)...

"Market dominated by few large companies. Buyers and sellers are in the dark: sellers don’t know what threats they’re missing and buyers cannot differentiate sellers"

now with polyswarm in the picture there is a close connection between both buyers and sellers so that there is real time update of latest threats.

The recent hack of parts of the German government just shows how important cybersecurity should be and how much work there is still to do

Just 0.17 mil to reach the 2 mil which I am waiting for long time now. I think we will achieve that this evening and move ahead with 10% bonus from the present 20% bonus. Then it will be much more interesting on how the progress counter will further move on.

10% ? I am currently looking at the counter from the Polyswarm site, and it says that they will move to 15%. After that it will move to 10%. Which counter are you telling us about ?

It feels like the Polyswarm crowdsale counter for NCT tokens has been stuck on $22.83m for quite some time, maybe this counter isn't updated that frequently.

Yes nxnqauff the bonus will be reduced to 15% after they hit the next target, it clearly says this on the Polyswarm website Smiley Cheesy Grin

I noticed as well that the counter has been stuck seemingly as well it is very possible they are manually updating the number I think which is often the case for ICOs that want to have some manual control especially when their are stages of upgrades or downgraded to bonuses. Hopefully we will see an update or news soon on the bar and counter being updated

I didn't check the counter that frequently so I can't tell exactly. Is the counter not changing at all or is it just going slowly?

It is moving but slowly. I am very happy that it is progressing continuously. Once it crosses 23mil, bonus will get reduced from 20%. So people have to hurry up now as it almost there.

The expert chain connection is what would really differentiate them. In many case the Antivirus software is proprietor to a given organization and anything could go wrong; Given it is a centralized solution anyway. This is a real step to proper security if you ask me.

Exactly, It's terrible for hacks to have occurred but this just proves that governments need to step up their security game

I received an email from Polyswarm earlier today and they have announced their first arbitrer; Bremer Computer Security B.V.

This partnership kick-starts PolySwarm’s roadmap for early adoption.

That's a good one. Do you have any link to a public post announcement on this? Please If you do, kindly reply to this post with it. Thanks

Yes, it's really good news. But I have not received such email even though I have registered at Polyswarm site.
Also i don't see this news at site. Hope to see this announcement from Polyswarm team shortly

You had to say it friend. That's exactly why I asked him to post a link cause I didn't see any where else apart from in here

Blockchain makes it possible to decentralize threat protection, which is exactly what PolySwarm does. They are using utility token (NCT) to reward and incentivize innovation.

https://medium.com/swarmdotmarket/5-important-use-cases-for-blockchain-92aeea35484d

I think the threat protection we have right now can be considered as decentralized as there are many security software's offered
However, the programmers stand little chance to offer real expertise unless they are working for one of the giants.
PolySwarm will break this barrier which is the main reason I have sympathy for this project

Well, i won't consider them decentralized as they still answer to someone or some group of individuals, with many going into extinction because of funds or lack of innovation, Polyswarm is like a democratic state for programmers, decentralized, giving every individual the opportunity to do something better and earn handsomely from it but is different with other cyber-security brand, as you only work to feed your boss

Wow... So 50 million USD is the hard cap for this project? If I am not mistaking, this should be roughly around 3 billion tokens. I strongly believe that it is on the high side though.

50m is like nothing it’s strongly in the smallcap side of projects just because the token count is high is not an issue some companies decide to go with lots of coins of small value and others like a big dollar coin with few coins. The good part of lots of cheaper tokens is it allows for more variety of distribution without having to deal with fractions of coins which sucks

Yes, the hardcap is indeed 50 million USD. They have nearly half collected, and that just shows that investors are trusting it. If you find the amount of tokens too much. Look at Ripple they have 39 billion of tokens, but the price is nearly 1 dollar. Anything can happen.

That's why I think Polyswarm can change the game here. Not only Users will have additional option but finally they will be able to use more accurate product.

It is not a bad cap given the type of the project; you will have to account for many authorization and legal aspects of the business so you will end up investing alot of that money just to make it happen.

You're very correct, i stated this fact way back, projects are controlled by a lot of things and we don't have to compare projects as they are backed by different concepts, objectives, prices and a whole lot, is funny when people do this comparison, that's pretty absurd

there are already many videos. I have to take my time and see all of them. My family will not be thrilled :-) but I have to look at this to understand the project even better before investing

So i read on the whitepaper that fixed-rate Fees are applied to PolySwarm transactions to discourage behavior that would generate superfluous transactions (including spam transactions) and therefore incur unnecessary gas cost across the market. I will love to know how you determine the fixed rate.

It's really scary to imagine that big institutions like the government, banks and huge companies can have their security compromised what then is the hope of the common man out there in the street, the swarm initiative has a lot of task ahead in this project and I would advice institutions to also partner with them to achieve security for themselves and for all... Security is more productive when it's done collectively
