it was hard to quit smoke. You can't quit immediately, it takes time. Start it by reducing usage a day. And use your free time to do something which you forget to smoke like work, exercise etc.. day by day, you can see changes. And time will come that you don't smoke anymore Smiley

Well... if you can count vaping as a solution than it’s my way to do it. Easy to change habbit like that. Nice smell, easier breathing and less nicotine even. But still not quitted imo

On your quit day:

Do not smoke at all.
Stay busy.
Begin use of your NRT if you have chosen to use one.
Attend a stop-smoking group or follow a self-help plan.
Drink more water and juice.
Drink less or no alcohol.
Avoid individuals who are smoking.
Avoid situations wherein you have a strong urge to smoke.
You will almost certainly feel the urge to smoke many times during your quit day, but it will pass. The following actions may help you to battle the urge to smoke:

Delay until the craving passes. The urge to smoke often comes and goes within 3 to 5 minutes.
Deep breathe. Breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of three and exhale through your mouth for a count of three. Visualize your lungs filling with fresh air.
Drink water sip by sip to beat the craving.
Do something else to distract yourself. Perhaps go for a walk.

I did, a year ago, that was not too easy but I accomplished. I just did not smoke at all. I mean I stopped immediately and did not smoke a single one after that. The first too weeks were too hard, but I made it. I just ate an apple every time I wanted to smoke. After a month I decided to try a cigarette, and I hated that, it was digesting.  Wink

Believe me, that's how I did it and it helped.  Cool

Qutting smoking is not that hard because everything in your head. You should make yourself believe that it's bad and useless for you.

I once a smoker , i smoke one pack in a day , but when i realises that smoking is slowly weakening my body i started to stop it. At first it was difficult for me to stop smoking because in many years that i smoke it been addicting. What i do is i slowly stopping it , because when you stop smoking you must have to do it slowly. Instead of buying a cigarette i buy candy to chew. Qutting smoking takes    self discipline and self control if you want to quit smoking.

Just think of the tar like substance that can accumulate in your lungs due to smoking, and then try.

I had acupuncture and haven't used nicotine in 9 years. Don't know how it worked, but it did, placebo effect or not.

You can try vaping as an alternative or chewing on some nicotine gum to prevent smoking.
