ethereum has got many competitors and this is what keeps them growing and must continue to innovate, Tron and Eos are serious challengers with the advantages of their platform

Neo Eos, I think this is the best competitors for Ethereum. They are not inferior to Ethereum, and in some aspects are even superior.

I think at present ETH has no rivals. It is considered the most valuable coin in altcoin. With this ability and speed of development it will become the official currency in the trading platform. In today's technology development era I believe it will occupy the field.

I disagree, ETH has a lot of rivals and it's not even good to watch that is has been dethroned by XRP in the no. 2 spot. That's a negative part of the journey IMO, ETH has been compared to bitcoin as it's holding the no. 2 spot and we think it will be replacing BTC due to the fact that ETH has been very popular in ICO, lots of project are using ETH based but now, some are using other altcoins already. |

Never tell that XRP or RIPPLE is one of the competitor of ETHEREUM as they dont have the same project but just the ranking.
It is safe to tell that ETH is being competing with WAVES, XEM and NEO and many project which relates as same of them.
EThereum like BTC will not remain on top in the future.

That is a mistake, Currently there are many other altcoin that can compete with ETH. Of those two altcoin that can pass ETH in 2019 is NEO and EOS, currently ETH is in third place in the coinmarket and by 2019 I think it will move to No. 5 |

I do not think that in the nearest future any altcoin will replace Ethereum. But such great coins as NEO, Stellar, Cardano, EOS are Ethereums' competitors. They need to do a lot of advertisement if they want to compete with the most trusted altcoin.

Exactly. Many people are based on market cap to determine when a cryptocurrency has beaten another. However, that's wrong since a "cryptocurrency" such as XRP cannot be directly compared towards Ethereum. XRP doesn't have smart contract functionality, whereas Ethereum does. Also, XRP's price is largely manipulated by its internal company (Ripple) as they control the token's supply. True competitors of Ethereum should be decentralized and provide the same functionality as ETH. There are only a select few which have already implemented smart contracts and those are: Cardano, EOS, NEO, Waves, Rootstock (Bitcoin Sidechain), Zen Protocol, Lisk, and others. So far, the strongest are Cardano and EOS since they have provided solid development and innovation to the blockchain industry. Nonetheless, while the previously mentioned cryptocurrencies are considered as the best competitors to Ethereum, none have been able to match it in terms of popularity and mainstream adoption. Just my opinion  |

I think the best competitors will be the likes of EOS, Waves, Stellar and Bitcoin cash, with the recent changes in the market they may sideline Ethereum soon.

I am all bet at NEO. And NEO is at the bad step right now, but its features are rarely similar to ethereum and also NEO has hosted many ico and they use neo coin's blockchain for their coins.

I think Stella and EOS features are very threatening to Ethereum, we can see EOS coming out with efficient smart contract platform and the Stella platform is already functioning like it should. Ethereum will still be leading in smart contract based coin but I expect to see fierce competition between the three!

IOTA is not direct competitor to Ethereum. Probably there is only one big competitor - EOS, but there are more similiar coins like NEO. |

I think if we consider the coins that would be able to compete with Ethereum, then perhaps the very first would be NEO. But to compete with Ethereum, he needs to start climbing higher in the list of top coins.

Lots of people are now bullish on neo and i am suspecting that it might likely take over very soon but that will require a work and development. It has been silent for some time now, but it will also soon start making noise like ethereum is doing now.

I was thinking, and how it will help him. At the moment, he has a lot of competitors, but he is somehow generally cold. Look at NEO and Cardano, strong projects that the Chinese government loves, and Ethereum doesn't care. |

I think the eos and the neo having great ability in the next few years. I hope the eos and neo gives a big surprise in the next year, until finally the later development of the eos and neo could be the equivalent of the ethereum.

Of the most serious competitors, I can identify only a few, such projects as EOS, Stellar, Waves, Bitcoin Cash. However, all of them even in the current market conditions can not make a serious competition to Ethereum.
