Is there any chance to put a request out there for the dev team?

How about:
-coin control
-multi-wallet load capability

It would make maintaining stake a whole lot easier.

Agreed.

I'm using these features in HBN - must have in my opinion to effectively manage PoS coins.
Will be great to have consistency re more advanced wallet features.

I understand why coin control was not implemented. With the short stake period - 5 days - keeping an eye on the coins could be a full time job. Currently every month or so I just send all my coins from one wallet to another to eliminate dust.

I think Palmdetroit said he would look into multi-wallets.

IMO PHS needs more love. It just works as a coin, when so few don't.

How as a community do we spread the word - get more people buying in?

With a short stake period it becomes even more important to manage the dust effect, and although you can do this by regularly sending all coins between wallets, coin control provides a more 'elegant' way to do this - or maybe i'm just a control freak  Wink

Dev also said that he likes coin control and when PHS grows it can be added, so I'm looking forward to this.

Btw, I don't agree about coin control adding confusion - as a default the feature is switched off and it needs to be specifically activated with an 'experts only' warning.

I have been thinking lately of a few better solutions to long term dust issues without a hardfork, for example the 10 day client I put out can really cut it down on it over time. I tested CC out on PHS some time ago so it's something that can be added. As long as you guys support any possible user issue with it later  Wink

This was brought up a few times in the last week in chat and PMs so here's a quick example of it in action:

Notice block 167490 to 167491 and the money supply decreasing even with a stake generation due to a larger sum being sent.

So, yes, money supply can actually decrease with increased TXs (will add this to first posts)

167491   1774952.52116
167490   1774952.765407

Good News, everyone

1.3.5b , Coin Control and other improvements: Will make a quick guide to handle dust using CC

*Fees seem to calculate a bit high compared to actual fees, will try to fix that later-

Download Win32 1.3.5b

Philosopherstone-1.3.5b-win32.zip              9D7ADA0AB8DF429EAB82E63A402B7FD7

Update instructions:
Code:
1. Stop current Qt client(wallet) and wait 1 min for shut down.
2. Zip or back up wallet.dat or the data directory of PHS
     Windows c:/users/username/appdata/roaming/philosopherstone/
     Unix : /home/user/.Philosopherstone
3. Unzip download to where you would like and run QT file, and run it -you are upgraded.
4. (Check help>about Philosopherstone to verify version)

How to visualize your dust:

1 Turn on CoinControl

2 Click Send > then click inputs

3 Number in () is total TX per an address (this can get large with old dusty wallets)

That was really quick! Impressed  Smiley

I'm only running OSX and Linux but installed the beta wallet in a Win 7 Parallels VM on OSX.
Wallet still busy synching with network but looking good so far…

I still am not sure what I am doing wrong, I still have no coins staked and still showing this in my wallet.

"StakeReadyStones" : 0,
"stakeinterest" : 0,

...

I open my wallet, then unlock it using a .bat file, the message that says 'Minting is stopped due to wallet being locked' goes away.

Then I can leave my wallet open for 24 hours or more and open it every day over a period of several days, I have had coins in my wallet for a month now, and nothing happens.

I am still unable to figure out what is wrong and why I am not able to do any PoS.

I downloaded the update from the link 7 posts above for 1.3.5b but the zip is named 1.3.4 and when I run the QT exe it opens the 1.3.4 wallet.

Im frustrated because I cannot get the PoS to work which was the main reason I've spent time mining this currency.

Ok, I found the 1.3.5b zip, was more than one link on that page and didn't download the right one the first time.

Hi,

Check the 4 lines above that, the ones 'weight' you should see these increasing over time, ones in below-weight are too young. Also if StakeReady says 0 there is nothing yet to stake. Did you send some stones out after you received them?

You can post results here or PM for me to take a quick look at it.

Also you can verify the address has indeed the balance using explorer.
