Most ICOs are now asking for KYCs,doesn't mean that it's. An indication that they will be a success, most people however send fake ids for some reason, but I dont blane them. At all, you never know where your details will end up, one just has to be cautiousness and

indeed, how will organizations verify the identity of every person on the planet? is there a list available somewhere? I think it's easier to fake the data because no one will ever know

Would not recommend.  The benefits of getting into an ICO do not outweigh the cost of getting caught.  That said, it's common for people to connect with friends that are foreign nationals.

I don't know how you can fake the KYC process.  The ones I've been involved with requires me to hold my identification while taking the picture with the current date.  In addition to that, I had to scan both the front and back of my ID.  This process was for a couple of major cryptocurrency exchanges.
While I do not know exactly how someone could do that either since I refuse to go through KYC in the first place at the same time I will never underestimate how far some people will go to try to cheat KYC policies, if what you are describing is true then it is entirely possible some people decide to use photoshop to modify some images and try to pass KYC that way.

This ia one of the disadvantages getting online transactions using blockchain unless otherwise thumb marks are used plus one on one video calls. Been part of a group too and I should really say that was unfair.

I hope in doing KYC we must be careful because we will not know for the future. That our personal data will be used for what. And I think to avoid a project using KYC for participants to join.

The fake Kyc information is unavoidable. Many people are unwilling to reveal their true identity on the Internet to a stranger. Many people seek absolute privacy. However, I think that using fake Kyc is wrong. If a project requires KYC and you don't want to provide it, you shouldn’t be involved in this project.

It's a bad idea to cheat because it can be severely punished and you get nothing, I already had this

Like it or not, in the future will have more and more requests to identify ourselves, and it will be more and more difficult to keep our anonymity.
Actually, it will be possible, but probably it will become illegal, and it will be very difficult to make any movement.

I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do.  It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles.  How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information?  Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data?  How rampant do you think this is?  How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it.  Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.

NOT FAIR.

Sure it is not fair sending fake IDs to ICOs, many people cannot to get into good projects, like it was very bir problem to get into Fantom, i didnt  Sad

I believe that sending out your real documents is very unsafe. I try not to participate in the bounty that require the passage of the KYC!

If there are people who can easily make fake id for KYC in Photoshop. These people are doing the right thing. It's a pity that I do not know how to use it. I think it's not right to demand pass KYC from bounty hunters.

A lot of people here are sending out other people's documents.
You can send in strangers too if you're worried .
Who is smart does not send their documents. If you do not know how to do it use the Internet!!!

this is really a lot of pros and cons, because I think KYC is really needed to avoid the multi account, but it is also often misused for fraud etc., therefore I hope for the future there is a solution to solve this problem

I've not done it myself but I expect it's fairly easy to do, photoshop would probably do the job.

You can send documents only to exchanges, or similar platforms that you really need. And how is it related to your finances. To the rest of the new ico for example, there is no trust, your data can be found by anyone. Although no one is insured, if someone already sent a passport photo, that file is no longer insured.

It is a gamble to send fake data and find your account frozen at a later point of distribution. For sure not an easy task checking IDs from dozens of countries.

As well as sending real ones, but I can see your point here. It is difficult to risk your money just like that. You choose your own ending: you might lose your money after they discover that you are using a fake identity or your personal data may be used against you. It's really a 50-50. Its just how tough are you at risking.

It is usually happens that some ICO investors and bounty hunters are sending fake IDs for KYC verification. I think it is simple because, they are living in the restricted countries which the ICOs are not requiring to join with their projects or there is the possibility that the bounty hunter/s or the ICO investor/s is under 18 years old that they cannot applied for government/national IDs.
