I guess you can just pm him, but he has little time and many things to divide it over.

That being said, as an early HBN enthusiastic, I think the coin is working just fine for a long time now, so why your question? What problems do you encounter?

I'm here. I'm alive! I haven't gone anywhere. I keep an eye on the hbn block chain and network just about every day. I just haven't been on the forum much at all recently. Just too many things going on.

What are the main problems right now? I see something about rpc commands not working by zeewolf. I think I might have a quick answer for that. I'll work on a fix.

Regarding syncing. It is hit or miss. It depends on your computer, your network speed, and if you get a fast peer to get blocks from.  I have been done in 17 hours and 2 days. Both starting from zero with no bootsrap. So it is long, but not terrible.

Anything else need attention??

Glad to see you here. I had a trouble with a synch, but added fresh nodes only and have redownloaded a chain and now this works.

i tried to adapt bitcoind-status by craig watson
https://github.com/craigwatson/bitcoind-status

to hobonickels, but it seems that the hobonickels daemon do not accept any rpc command over http (HTTP_FORBIDDEN).

I was behind 365 days on an HBN wallet I use for testing. Took about 15 hours to get to current, so I'm still not seeing any issue with syncing. That was very reasonable to me.

i recompile the hobonickels daemon after fixing the source with your fix, but still got HTTP_FORBIDDEN.
any another idea ?

Thanks Tranz. I'll compile it on Win and RasPi to test.

Edit: Windows wallet responds correctly to RPC commands now Smiley
Linux daemon of Hobo on Raspi1 is too resource consuming, taking all available RAM and 100mb swap, and even that is not enough... Have to try it on Raspi2.

Edit: RPC commands on linux works too. Daemon takes 850mb of RAM Smiley Quite a lot...

this does work...
curl --user username --data-binary '{"jsonrpc": "1.0", "id":"curltest", "method": "getinfo", "params": [] }'
    -H 'content-type: text/plain;' http://127.0.0.1:7373/

    -H 'content-type: text/plain;' http://192.168.2.2:7373/

the daemon started with option -rpcallowip=192.168.2.0/24
i think something is wrong with the access rights interpretation

am i wrong ?

Quick peek at sources and I don't think HoboNickels' daemon accepts subnet notation. Just straight ip - 192.168.2.2 or wildcard 192.168.2.*
