There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Since http://88.198.210.245:7875/ cannot be reached at this time, Can I use the old client (Nxt.zip) to generate the account id? Will the id be same compared to the version you are running on your node? (I assume the secret phraze is converted to a number only hash).

Pouncer which Nxt version are you using? The one uploaded on Mega is 0.1.5. It looks like yours is a newer version. Also, if you're trying to run Nxt on Debian you need to use OpenJDK-7.

That was me who did that mistake! Not sure how I can fix it now as if I try it again it says "Already assigned to 14887912". Someone else did the same as me by the looks of it. What now?
The account will be reset back to 0, so u r supposed to enter the hash again later. Done. Reenter the data again.

Come-from-beyond, can you upload the client to GitHub? I can't get mega to work with my browser and it needs to be hosted on github anyway.
Try http://88.198.210.245/Nxt.zipSo, the passphrase we used to generate the double sha256 hash is not the passphrase we should use to get our account id number?
We need to make up a new random passphrase to generate an account id number?
No. But u can use the same. Has it been determined that because people used an online sha calculator that these original passphrases are insecure?
No idea.

Sometimes my node crashes with not enough memory error, seems 256 Mb is not enough.

Now I'm getting the following exception and it doesn't start. 'java.io.InvalidClassException: Nxt$Transaction; incompatible types for field deadline' I'm using OpenJDK-7.

On Ubuntu/Debian, run 'sudo aptitude install openjdk-7-jdk'. Then go to the directory of Nxt.zip and run 'java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt'.
