Well, I've had enough of playing with BAMT, problem after problem with no end result in sight... so I am going back to xubuntu and see if I can get 12.8 drivers working on that...

Good luck man. You'll find a combination which works. Pretty sure 12x drivers are what I had on my xubuntu build.

Worse case scenario, there are those of us willing to buy the GPU's.

I'm holding a logo and favicon design contest for Tagmining.com.  Info can be found at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=324938.msg4083136#msg4083136.

This is open to anyone that wants to get involved, not just miners on the pool.  This is a great opportunity to earn a little TAG if you're just starting out, or maybe the CPU miners out there with some graphic art experience.

Good luck to those interested, and thanks for taking the time to check it out.

Thanks,

Fuse

Why can I find the hashrate of the TAG network? The difficulty has risen by a significant amount, just wondering if the network hash-rate has stepped a lot.

It was a long and exhausting grind to 500TAG... so I jumped off for a day and got in early on EarthCoin just for something different and abit of fun... mined a little over 150,000 EAC in about 24 hours. I like EarthCoin... wish that the dev team would a page from the TAG team. TagCoin has to have the most active and innovative dev teams of any of the young alt coins.

Back to mining TAG... next stop 1000TAG... then I will start releasing some coins to the market.

Had another stab at getting BAMT to work with latest 13.12 catalyst drivers and finally got it all working...but still only getting 520 to 550 Khs on each card.. tried tweaking it a little, will try some more...but far cry from the 750 everyone else is doing..will be interesting to see what the effects are with another type of logic board, then I can report for sure.. thanks vesperwillow for your help..Smiley

Mark,

All of my 280X's have settled into the 715 to 750 range without too much effort, I cannot be fussed with trying to experiment at moment, so letting BAMT alone for now.

You did get 750 KH/s using Windows, right?

@24kilo, multiply the difficulty by 17895.69708333 to get an estimate of the network hashrate in KH/s.

TagYak.org would like to welcome our newest group "Tag Cryptopool IT" This group now gives 24Kilo a dedicated forum with mass notifications, messaging, and user docs that can be used for "how-to" articles or wikis.

To help promote the "Tag Cryptopool IT" group TagYak will give a TAG to the first ten members that join this group.

If you would like to create your own TAG group, with a dedicated forum and docs, just join https://TagYak.org and click "Create Group" in your user toolbar.

..."Tag Cryptopool IT".......24Kilo and his pool mining site...

Centurion, thanks!

But this is not my pool, the pool admin is LeftToeCut and I am trying to give him a hand to get his pool off the ground and running. I call Fuse's TAGMining pool my home, but since the TAGMining pool is around 200Mh/s, I thought it would be wise to help build up another pool.

While I have no problems with TAG.cryptopool.IT pool and it has been very stable and reliable, the admin is very unresponsive and not active in maintaining the pool. Of course, Fuse is is an extraordinary pool admin, so I suppose I am spoiled!!!

Thanks for the announcement.

Alert - TAG.cryptopool.IT - Alert

LeftToeCut, the pool admin, has been in automobile accident and the pool is running on auto. He hopes to back in about a week. We all wish him a speedy recovery!!!

TAG.Cryptopool.IT is running fine. Here is a quote from his post over at TAGyak -

"I have been in a car crash. All is good but will stay in the hospital for at least a week, and between understaffed hospitals and holidays , maybe more. The pool is on auto as it is hard for me to do any admin work right now, typing takes ages. It has been running well and will keep running well I hope . Went down a day or so ago due to an old credit card on file. I will update the rest of the forums at a later date. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!"

Link to post - https://tagyak.org/groups/tag-cryptopool-it/forum/topic/this-pool-is-not-accessible-and-admin-is-absent/

I am getting consistent and regular payouts with no issues.

Thanks!

No problem - edited for clarity Wink
Fuse also has a group on TagYak and there are still a few TAG to be given away for joining his group.
Oh yeah, I also doubled the Tagpoint rewards on TagYak.org - again Smiley

I'd like to see a network metric as well.  Perhaps it is difficult to calculate due to the way the difficulty adjustment is implemented?

Some rough math would indicate the network is around 750 MH at the current difficulty of 40.  Perhaps someone else would like to take a stab at estimating the network hashrate?

Frank, try my formula. It seems to be accurate. The diff changing could mean either multipools, or some miners switch off or switch to another alt coin.

I missed that bit of info scanning through the r9 280x discussion (which BTW, I am still desperately trying to find some decent 280x's in stock anywhere at a fair price).  Cool.  I'm glad my rough math got fairly close to your number which I am sure is based on a more complete calculation than my own.  Heh.  Thanks!

Naw,  it was trial and error on the tagcoin mining calculator on coinwarz.com to arrive at 10800 tag per day.

Registrations for Tagmining.com have been closed.  It will remain closed until there is a better spread of hashrate in the Tagcoin network.  I will also be increasing the pool's fees to 2% to encourage miners to spread the hashrate around.

Do not take this as me telling people to leave, but please be smart with keeping the network healthy.

How hard is it to set up a p2pool kind of thing? They have it for both bitcoin and litecoin.
