The closest draw was, LOTTERY ROUND 160 - TOTAL TICKETS: 1,050,793,433  The contest also had some indirect influence on the Lottery tickets that are being bought? What do you think? |

I haven't been able to ask wetsuit yet but I'd guess the botnets have found another way. That's what caused the spike leading up to round 160. Since we reduced the rewards for low wagering accounts they have given up trying to get to minimum withdrawal and started exploiting the reward points to get lottery tickets. After that round we restricted RP redemptions as well and that seemed to work for a while. Since then it looks like they now wager all the free roll winnings to generate referral income and they'll get free lottery tickets as well with that. |

This is where your information is out of date as I just explained. It is a constantly evolving battle, every time we change something to combat them they do something else. The latest thing is playing dice for the referral income. We can see what is going on at our own site. |

No. It's difficult to ban IP addresses on that basis as bots usually use proxies so trying to ban them usually results in a lot of false positives. We have experimented with it recently but we've ended up implementing some more complex anti-bot measures instead. That's work in progress at the moment and we've got more to implement soon.
Edit. Have a laugh at this dudes post history. Interested in a multi-threaded bot for this site? At the moment, the bot can easily work with 1000 accounts at the same time, the average time between the climes of all accounts is 60-70 minutes. The price of $ 600 to anyone interested in writing in ps

After that I refresh and it is back again.  The same thing happens often when I receive the normal interest on my deposits or free rolls. A glitch in the matrix or just a browser cache problem? |

Sounds like a browser glitch to me, if it's firefox sometimes your tab will randomely regress. But you can't really do anything on this site without refreshing it so it's not much of a problem I don't think (although I haven't had this exact problem myself).

I think it's a cache problem, happened to me a lot of times on chrome it also happens on multiply btc history tab, sometimes free roll record will not show before a few minutes Number 1 on the contest has wagered 97+BTC already.
This will become an interesting contest to watch since we still have 23 days to go.
indeed, it's only about a week and #1 almost beats the last month's top wager amount  I wonder how big his balance is and whether currently losing or winning |

I use Chrome and I've never seen the data go backwards before. As the others have said there can be delays in it updating and sometimes you need to refresh. Things like the roll history or anything that comes from the archive data servers is a lower priority than processing rolls and updating balances so that's why they sometimes take a few minutes to catch up.
