What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?

First of all, you should pay attention to the sites you enter, because there may be virus called 'keylogger' on the link you clicked, so, 'keylogger' can read everything you write, and they can steal your password.
if you keep coin in the exchange, your password should be very strong, and you should definitely use 2FA. But, if you keep like .dat, you should keep that file hidden.

The most important protection for you can be the most usual attentiveness, once you understand what exactly helps people to avoid many bad situations, you will immediately understand that due to care you will find vulnerabilities in your defense.

Hardware will be useful, like trezor or anything else, I guarantee it will keep you safe, I understand many hackers are trying to steal, but I think that definitely helps for your security, I use it and until now it's all safe, hope that will be useful for your problems

Protect your altcoins / tokens / funds, you must be careful / vigilant / attentive. If you are using MyEtherWallet like me, you can protect your account by keeping your private key. And don't ever expose it. Because when someone would know about your private key, they can access your account and possibility that they well steal your altcoins / savings. So be careful on what you doing. And also, careful by logging in in web. I recommend you to install blockfolio or imtoken to your phone, for your safety purposes too. You don't need to open your account using private key because after you log in it to your phone, all you need to have is internet to access your fund.

As anyone is not sure that their PC/Laptop is malware free or not, it is better if you buy very cheap or old laptop & just use it for crypto transactions like login in personal MEW, your Electrum wallet for storing Bitcoin etc. & also if you want to do trading, login in on exchange websites with your laptop that you reserved only for crypto transactions. For your daily activities on the internet, you can use your regular PC/Laptop. Also, avoid clicking random links as mostly wallet & user accounts on the crypto exchange are compromised via a phishing attack.

Keep them off of the exchanges and put them in offline wallets if possible. You can print paper wallets from a few good resources. Just be careful who you trust.

Buy some hardwallet, install antivirus plus malware and you will be fine do not give your private keys to anyone and most importantly dont be stupid.Do not let others fool you! protect your privatekeys with your life because it is the most important thing that we could have,it holds our coins securely! never use any app or web wallet because it is too risky to these hackers.

The best way to secure yourself is a separate computer with an enhanced security system, on which you will only store data and not use it to access the Internet. There are probably no other qualitative ways, now hackers are very serious about crimes, and you need to be ready for it.

Simply install some good antivirus and anti malware softwares, install metamask because it will protect your private keys when you are transacting to dex or decentralized exchange, you wont need to put your private keys manually to these exchanges which is why its more safe to us traders when using these decentralized exchanges, use hardwallets because these are the most secured wallets today.

What I do is to make sure, I store them in a clean hard drive without any viruses, also make sure that there is no malware in the sites you've been prior to downloading the wallet, there may be a lot of programs out there that says they are the best defense, but make sure only to download the original and one that is compatible with your device and from a trusted source, also make sure to encrypt your data and use 2FA to open your wallets, and just like in bitcoin you can store them in a ledger, make sure that the ledger is brand new and no one should know the key but you, when updating your wallet, be sure to have a back up first, update your security, then download the wallet, it may take some time, but it is better safe than to be sorry, lastly always check your device if someone is trying to breach in, you might need a VPN for it, also make sure to keep all your details safe and the private keys or passphrase should not be stored in your device, to avoid hacking if you've been breached.

Well, before you start in this field you should learn how to secure yourself from the scammers or hackers because they are everywhere in the whole internet. In my opinion, you should never send your private key to anyone. and never click on the  wrong links ( It may have many viruses) , and should not be greedy because of some fake airdrops due to they are very widespread.
On the other hand,  the most essential thing is you must  store your important information (like, password, private key..)  in flash disk, hard drive external and then the hacker cannot find your personal information.

Use a hardwallet, because it is the most secured wallet that is existing today,it cant be cracked by any virus and malwares out there.Do not use web or app based wallets because these wallets are more prone from the hacks, which is why we should be sticking with the hardwallets, exchanges and nothing more so we wont be getting issues from other wallets.

Buy a ledger or trezor so that even if your computer was infected by these malwares and viruses ,your private key are is still protected because these hardwallets has some extra layer of protection when you are transacting in dex or decentralized exchanges, you can use it with metamsk so that it will be much secured wallet for your coins.

The professional way to protect your altcoin is here:

1. First of all, always do your work on incognito window on browser, so that no history should save

2. Always protect your private key like- Change first and last three digits of your private key and keep at somewhere or remind it! So that if any hacker get your key, so its wastage for him!

3. Don't fill scam airdrops and don't join any bounty without study its whitepaper, roadmap and website

4. Whenever doing any altcoin work, don't download anything (Suspicious link)

5. Do not keep all the altcoins in one place- Send some coins on exchange and rest hold in wallet

it is true that so many hackers and thieves of digital assets are very troubling. I think the important thing is do not we ever publish the email we created the wallet list. use 1 Email for the wallet only, do not use anything else. we keep our email, no one knows.

One of the most effective ways to protect their altcoins, is to buy a special portable wallet TREZOR. I recommend it. But unfortunately it does not support all altcoins.
