For me, the most effective protection method is the use of our software that works like a professional better known as a good antivirus, because it can provide protection against all suspicious entries from the Online world, which will detect and remove all types of malicious software from computer that we use this sat.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You can use mobile wallets, which are not only safe but also pretty convenient to use because all you need to do is to download an app into your phone.  MyCelium is a really popular app(for both Android and iPhone) that people use for their mobile wallets, CoPay is a great option as well.

For those seeking the most secure form of storage, cold wallets are the way to go. These are best suited to long-term holders, who don’t require access to their coins for months, or years at a time. They aren’t without their own set of risks but if you follow the instructions correctly, and take every precaution possible, these are greatly minimized.

Without a doubt, the safest way to store any cryptocurrency is using a paper wallet. By following a few pointers below, you can set one up entirely for free. This truly makes you the master of your investment, and if precautions are followed, there’s no possibility of your private keys being known by anyone else.

One of the most reliable options for protecting altcoins is to keep them on a cold wallet that is installed on a computer that does not have access to the Internet.
Aside from that wallet we may nano ledger wallet wherein we can save our altcoin in ethereum wallet. Their are still ways to keep safe our coins and it is our responsibility to do so.
Security must be of high-importance for us to be protected and safe. Altcoins and other crypto assets are very different because it's virtual and we can't hold them physically. It's very important to learn how to keep cryptographic secrets or private keys. To be more secured we must practice safe computing, like having a back up, backing regularly and frequently, and storing backups in multiple geographic locations. In this way, we can always restore cryptoasset from its private key with a new wallet.

Simple place them in cold storage and do not show or tell anyone about the private key or your altcoins. And do not click on suspicious links or reply  to people that are offering you huge returns by investing little.

Yeah I recommend to everyone to just make paper wallets they are the easiest don't require you to make an account on any site and you just send your Bitcoin there and that's it! It's so simple and also the most secure because you just store them somewhere really safe and as long as it's one properly no one will ever know youve got them and they will be safe.

I think I can consider safe walleting as another way of securing Altcoin. Download a wallet file from the most trusted source available, you may check the MD5, SHA1, or SHA-256 and encrypt wallet with a unique password. You can also check and learn password encryption at malwarebytes or emsisoft. I believe it can help protect altcoin from any fraud activities.

I try to protect my alternative coins by using safe offline computers and ledgers. I think it is very risky to expose your coins on internet. Also changing your passwords regularly works fine I suppose..

tighten your private key security, passwords and do not click any suspicious links that have been sent to you via personal mesenger, shared on any social media site, etc. the only reason why hackers have access to your account is because they managed to get your key.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?
Anything on the web are vulnerable on hackers attack. This includes tokens and coins in our online wallets. But to get rid of it take some safety measures for yourself, first,  don’t ever entertain any email that contains links that maybe a phising site and also never ever let your private key known by other users or leave it unattended ( posting it in any thread or put it in wallet address box).
What do you mean how to protect? To secure your altcoin? It is very simple for me. Just secure the password of your wallet because it is very important on how to access your altcoins. Not by password also be responsible on what you are doing online be active to avoid scams online. There are so many phishing site that can actually hack you data.

You should use a multi-signature wallet. It can help you to create more security for your wallet and save yourself from human error and to create a more democratic wallet which can be used by one or more people.

You have to use your hardwallet when it comes from saving a large amount of your money cryptocurrencies will be well protected when you use metamask+hardwallet and your addresses when it comes to tokens.

I myself to keep my coins in this uncertain market circumstance I often use how to hold. because I think by holding the coins I have become safer. if for coins that will have threatened to collapse before I invest. both of which are well suited for keeping the coins in both the short and long term.

There's a lot ways to protect your altcoin like by not panicking, because you can control your emotion when your calm and possible to protect you altcoin from selling it; Next is by putting it in a wallet so you may not lose it and keep it so it will grow more. Also once you put it in a wallet make sure your your password is cannot easily to get and keep all the information to yourself about your wallet, and dont tell to anyone about it.

In my mind, Before you do something, think carefully and then do it. Never click on links you do not know.
Enter your password and key only on trusted sites and save it on your computer. You can keep your data in a safe place

Invest in buying a ledger, your altcoins would be almost next to impossible to be hacked further compared to standard wallet security measures even though it is decent and privates keys are not easily hacked unless there is a breach of security details.

I suggest that don't store your private-key or account information on your computer or laptop but save it using a paper wallet or USB and place it on a secure area that you are the only have access because I have friends who got hack because their private-key was save on their desktop computer.
