To protect the altcoin we should install security software in our device to prevent hackers in accessing our files. We should also store our passwords in a safe place like in a flash drive. Never leave important information in our hard drive unless we have a strong security software installed.

Take care of your private key, passwords and dont click any suspicious link that has been sent to you through pm, shared on any social media sites, etc. the only reason why hackers have the access on your account is because they successfully get your key.

In order to protect our altcoin make another wallet exclusively for legit tokens only. I mean for tokens which has succesful ico its better to make a separate wallet for them from your regular wallet which you use for airdrops or bounty wallet. Because the regular wallet you always use for airdrops and bounties are more prone to hackers. Im so afraid of hackers especially our tokens are prone to them because crypto is more on internet thats why i used to write down my private key to a paper and never save/leave it on my mobile phone or pc .

All you need to do is to keep it safe and don't ever try to share your private key. Storing a good value of coins in your hardware wallet is a good idea but please save your private key or phrasepassword, write it down on a piece of paper.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?

the best way to protect our portfolio from hacker is not to entertain those some suspicious, website or project campaign or otherewise airdrops that you thinks that this is phishing that maybe wick to become expose our personal information or in our private key to those hacking website, otherwise there are some ways to protect our wallet from hacking system and thats is providing a metamask wallet, nano ledger or trezor, edge into our portfolio,so that we are the one who could control our own personal private key.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?
My advice to you, is just keep your private key in safe place and dont every try to give your private key even to your girlfriend  and its more better to store it in offline wallets and ledger wallet. So you can safe your altcoins safe from hacker.

The best is too diversify your savings into different wallets, and store your passwords in some real shit of paper, not an electronic file on your computer which can be hacked.

Safest would be hardware wallets, but they cost a small fortune and are also vulnerable if not fully updated.

Most likely the primary concern that I can truly exhort is that today you should be more cautious, on the grounds that numerous programmers today depend on your obliviousness, since on account of it you can not see straightforward things.

Keep them in a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor.
If you are not having one, buying a Hardware wallet is worth every penny. If you still dont want to buy it. Keep your ALTs in a private wallet and not on exchanges. Keep your private keys safe on a piece of paper rather than keeping online or on your computer.
If you can move to a Linux or Mac system from Windows, that will reduce the risk of getting hacked by 90%  Smiley

I use a hardware wallet and I'm very comfortable with it. I always think it's one of the best things I've ever done.

Create backups. A backup of your crypto-wallet purse saved in a safe place can save you from equipment failures and many other problems. It will also allow you to recover your wallet in the event of the theft of your phone or purse.

This is not enough in my opinion, because your computer may be targeted. You have to make sure that you do the best possible to keep your computer clean and safe. This includes not only to check for duplicate sites, but to be very careful when browsing and using the computer on daily bases.

Copy your private key on hardware not software, I.e into your notebook. Don't sign in on any link the pop on your screen or email, don't disclose your private key to any other user.

Keep the key to the purse is not on the computer, but anywhere on the USB, and use it only when you need to carry out some transaction.

I use altcoin only for trading so all my coins i put in exchanges, and to protect my fund in the exchange , i used several different exchange and turn on all security features in all exchange, also important to use privacy and unique email address for each exchange, dont use public email address because email address is key of security for account of exchange. And very important always login from bookmark link because there are many link phising of exchange.
Great strategy. I would also add that, if possible, it is necessary to place all funds on different exchanges and wallets. Also do not store all the information on the machine that has Internet access. That is best on a flash drive.

My experience recently was so funny to the extent that I fell victim recently,it was so pathetic that I. Could be so carefree. In a nutshell;this is done by making the private key and any other sorts of privatized digits a confidential one away from the wicked and lazy brats out there(scammers).

I usually store ER20 Tokens and I have a lot of back up of my private key, I save it in my Flash Drive in my other computer which
I don't really use for downloads because I know it's prone to malware. Let's us the best way to secure our assets because that is our future, if it will be stolen
our future will be gone.
