Looks like the pool went down after i started bringing my hash over. Sorry if i crashed the pool. It's always a good stress-test for a pool when you come around Regarding the instability when you joined: The limit for the number of open filedescriptors for the pool backend was still in its restrictive default. That number also governs maximum TCP connection count. We were already seeing some strange log readings, but you coming to knock on our door made us really hit the limit, and that's probably where it went wrong. We've increased the limit to a more sensible value (60000) a few hours ago, and all indicators are back to normal. Could you try again? I keep you guys as my backup pool currently. So if my main pool goes down, you know where i'll be. If you guys had some leaderboard stats, it might be more fun to mine at the pool. But right now, I just make bitcoins when I come over.

We're experiencing high load at the moment, so your miners might be idling now and then. EDIT: Resolved; lasted about 10 minutes.

MintCondition, stats are blocked and workers marked as not active, but I see them working and sending shares as usual. spiccioli.

Hi, another update on the load issues: the primary bitcoind went down, which caused the initial issues. We then took it out of the loop to restart it. Sadly, it needs to reload and reverify the blockchain. That takes a lot of time and calculations, which is why the load is still higher than normal. During this time your miner may idle for short periods of time. It's hard to say how long reloading the blockchain will take exactly, but it will at least be several hours. During that time payments will be unavailable, but mining can continue as usual.
When the blockchain has been reconstituted, the bitcoind will start accepting payment requests again. While stats are already operational again, some shares have not been added to your balance yet. We're now working on adding them manually.
Thanks for your patience while we resolve this!

Maybe we can get TWMZ to turn these user "bars" into profile pic size images...
Avatar-shaped images are also available now at http://btcstats.netEdit: Nevermind, I think the forum actually forces them to be an even more awkward shape and so these would get stretched badly. I can't test it at the moment, be cause I can't change my avatar without losing my current sig image and I don't want to do that. I'll have to try working on it again later. I fixed it, FYI and they are the right shape for bitcointalk.org (but perhaps not for others--although others probably still let you use a sig image).

i seriously cant keep my miners on this pool. So i will not bother until the issue is fixed (permanently).
My miners will just fall back to the back up pools so, i hate it.

plastic.elastic, we feel very sorry for you. Unfortunately it takes some time till the block chain has been downloaded. Until then your miners might experience some idle time. Chlorine.

Update
We have updated the balances; all shares have now been counted. We are still waiting for the blockchain to be downloaded completely. We will let you know when the chain has been downloaded and payouts are possible again.
Thank you for your patience! Chlorine.

Odd, I had trouble last month too. I just decided to give them a shoot for a week and after about 45 minutes of only going to this pool it stayed connected and I added my backups. Maybe this will work for you if you really want to mine here. I would suggest it

And.. payouts are up again too! To make the process of restoring from a bitcoind crash a bit faster in the future, we'll be creating some scripts that make nightly blockchain backups. EDIT: Improving the pool bit by bit: Backups of the blockchain are being made now

If you're using CGMINER, you can also add the argument of --failover-only to your batch file. Otherwise CGMINER tends to "leak" shares to your backup pools, and that might be causing the issue.
My uptime when the pool isn't experiencing a system-wide issue is really good.

The BAMT( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28967.0) has a very nice pool fail-over feature, it can automatically return to your primary pool after submit certain amount of shares to backup pool(s)

I just wanted to say, and not to jinx it or anything, but lovely performance these last few days. Perfect. No hiccups on my end. It might be one of the most "boring" pools I've been in; I simply start mining and get X amount of shares a day, X amount of bitcoins a day. Fantastic.
Bravo.
