Well I was still stuck at 310 with wrong chain so I did the trick before I could read the last 3 pages here because of the 502s on Bitcointalk... now everything seems going well again, but it would be nice to understand the cause of those forks?
Intentional malice?

I have one vps that is on higher chain and local client is behind. Both hallmarked. Leaving it as is to see what happens. Was expecting heavy attack today but at block 22000 - not this late. Attacks == fail

Just upgraded the well-known node that I run, 46.19.137.116 to the maximum my VPS provider offers, 8 CPU / 16 GB ram. It is at block 22350 now. Had to help it a bit by copying the latest blocks.nxt and transactions.nxt from my home laptop

Put hosts listed in lastBlockchainFeed about into "wellKnownPeers". Set other parameters to:
connectTimeout = 2000 readTimeout = 2000 pushThreshold = 1 pullThreshold = 1
- may be we need to set pushThreshold = 500000 pullThreshold = 500000 in order to use only Hallmarked nodes? to diminish the attack ? 500 seconds too much - doesn't push Threshold define the hallmark weight ? not seconds?

yep, same here. preparing an additional quad arm cluster (10x) If I had more funding, I'd roll out something better than now where are those stakeholders I wonder? Pls post or pm me your account and let me know how much you need. My 500K Nxt pledge is still unutilized. Will channel as much as you need to help stabilize the network. Wow! woke up to all the excitement of the ddos attack. FYI, my public node died but local node running without intervention for the last 6 hours, currently at 22313
