Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

DGEX seems to be back in the game.....

Works really crisp, no lag for me at the mo.

Over the Framewood issue:

10 characters is not enough for a passphrase. Not in the 21st century.

My passphrase tips:

Take yr favorite movie quote:

I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Kill the punctuation, throw in some random substitutions:

I$4ywet4keoff4ndnuketheentire$itefromorbitIt$theonlyw4ytobe$ure

Add some psuedo-random caps gibberish to both ends, and hey presto:

SweAtyI$4ywet4keoff4ndnuketheentire$itefromorbitIt$theonlyw4ytobe$ureBoLLocks

Now , hoe long is that gonna take to bruteforce?

But for f**ks sake, make sure u write it down somewhere, and/or hide it in the middle of a  *.txt file to copy and paste to avoid keylogging.

Nxt might have competition for features soon: Open Transactions desktop software platform for bitcoin and other currencies..they have been hard at work for months / years but I believe the new videos is a re-assertion of their place in the marketplace in light of the recent popularity of nxt…If they launch before our other advanced features, we will still have the speed and green forging advantage..not to mention it will actually take time for other crypto's devs to coordinate and start integrating.. thought this was worth sharing.

THIS DEVELOPMENT SHOULD NOT BE UNDERESTIMATED.

OLA can you please track this closely.

Try to contact and engage the developer in the Nxt dev-team?

Just a friendly reminder for those that are just looking to buy NxT coins. I recommend waiting for the price to stabilize! See for yourself:

1,000,000,000 (1 billion) initial coins
73 initial adopters
so roughly 13.7 Million each (assume equal distribution)
at 21 BTC Total
0.000000021 BTC per coin

current market rate is about 0.0001 (4700x)

To those who are buying these coins now... most of the coins are being hoarded, so you can only buy them on the market for 4700x or 470,000% of what all of the 1 billion coins were paid for at genesis. And people are buying, sadly, without looking at these figures. Remember - all BILLION coins are already out in circulation, and no more will be generated. All BILLION coins were bought originally for 21 BTC in total, or about $4,000 worth.

To give you an idea, someone is selling 1.8M coins (.18% of all coins circulated, that were bought for 21 BTC) for 180 BTC. If this is an early adopter (may not be), then he would have bought the same 1.8M coins for less than .04 BTC, but now is asking 180 BTC in just 1-2 months. Also, BTC is worth 6-7 more now in USD than at genesis.

I LIKE this coin, and its potential, but I don't like the price it's at, and the greed that the price is showing. So PLEASE, stop and check the math out yourself, and ask what this coin is worth.

I recommend new NxTers to stop buying these coins so high, and bringing the price even higher. Wait for some original investors to sell and distribute, and buy them at the dip. Thank you.

NXT: 6933627427271736687

The value of NXT has changed significantly as new features are announced and implemented, with the speed that new versions are released and as more money and time is poured into NXT the value is going to increase.

The price disparity from the initial conception to now should be expected. The price may crash, the price may skyrocket, but it is justified that the price is significantly more than at early adoption.

How do u destroy a non-confirmed transaction coins?

Maybe redirect a part of the tx fee to the genesis address (the one that destroys coins)?

I mean how to come to a consensus on what coins to destroy if a transaction is not confirmed?

At least it cost $4400 to start NXT. It cost 0 to start Ripple.

NXT isn't just the 2nd gen Bitcoin, it's also the decentralized Ripple. The announced features mean it has potential to be a Bitcoin killer. Especially the instant transactions. I mean, it's almost 2014, would you want to wait 60 minutes for 6 confirmations? NXT has so much potential, the price skyrockets. You're not paying for its intrinsic value, but for it's potential.

20,000 Litecoins get created a day or something. That's $400,000 new coins getting dumped or hoarded everyday.

NXT? 0 coins get created every day.

Just from one single exchange we've seen how far the price has rocketed. Wait until more features start rolling out. If Ripple can get to 2 billion market cap I don't see why NXT can't challenge for that spot.

If you think that's a lot look at how much XBT is created every day.   Shocked

Agreed.  NXT changes all the rules.  People are unfamiliar and make the wrong assumptions.

I am highly bullish on NXT, short-term and long-term.  The price is very attractive.

Now, does anyone know why NXT is not appearing on http://coinmarketcap.com ?

Keep up the great work NXT devs and community.

Thanks.

dgex is back online!

And yesterday's 1,800,000 NXT sell wall at 0.0001 has vanished.  The fuse to the skyrocket is lit, prepare for blastoff.

Sigh.  I am a quite impatient fellow and wanna make money as much as the next guy, but this is all happening too fast even for my taste....

I read upthread about an idea to visualize the globe with peers, similar to https://blockchain.info/nodes-globe. Is anyone going to do that? I could provide APIs to determine next forging accounts and also some kind of tracert protocol.

Now that dgex is back in business, I think it won't take long before CMC pulls the data for NXT again. That said, I find it hilarious how NXT is there at the bottom of the list, right next to JunkCoin of all coins Smiley Couldn't be more contrast.

When it's back on CMC in full, I think we'll see a positive feedback loop on price immediately. We're already well back into e-4BTC/NXT territory.
