Well, we have to admit that 1000TPS is still possible. For 1000TPS, 300GB blockchain is, maybe, freaking small. Don't you think?
Maybe it is or maybe it isn't (still not quite clear to me) but do we really *need* to be marketing this angle *now*? We really not. What we need is developers with some focus. Devs with vision is nice, but this is a clusterfuck.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I have no idea. I just know I'd rather have somebody in this thread educate me with a discussion on this topic instead of Turing complete languages.
I think it would be better not to be marketing about 1000+ TPS and CfB seemed to agree that "even 100 TPS would be very good". Bitcoin can only "theoretically" handle 7 TPS *now* so if Nxt is able to do more than 10x that I think it will be "good enough" for at least a year (and would still put it well in front of the competition).

Maybe it is or maybe it isn't (still not quite clear to me) but do we really *need* to be marketing this angle *now*? As an "average" user, I cba about 1000TPS at this moment. It´s a nice number I suppose, but the thing we marketed is basically "faster than BTC and doable for everyone". If we can satisfy both of these with lower specs, I would be happy. Of course there will be some sneering from people, but f*ck ´em if we still deliver the above and work from there.

Might I suggest that you do not hold your breath as you wait for the apology?
I obviously can’t stay in a community where four words and a stupid smiley makes somebody wish you death and don’t even think about apologizing (don’t bother doing it now in case your consciousness suddenly wakes up, it’s too late). And I am tired of being one guy on the other side of everybody else. A cohesive community is much more important than stupid arguments. So that’s the end for me. Please withdraw all your money from the exchange, it will be closed in a few days. Thank you to those people who said kind words. And thank you to the people who were always nice to me, you know who you are, I am going to miss you. Too bad... I really liked your exchange.

One thing is for sure a Turing-Complete Nxt would have much more marketing WOW than 1000 TPS Nxt.
I think everyone can clearly see that fact with Ethereum.

Hmmm...i like the drama of gold on black, but I can see your point. Maybe slightly too Evil.... I'll have a fiddle with colours if i get some time later on. Any feedback on text or layout ?
Text and layout are fine. Good readability, especially for a sticker with those dimensions. Personally I would make a sticker with the color scheme of the nxtcrypto site. Keep everything in the same style, so that it's easily recognizable, for now at least. Wouldn't it also be wise to choose one logo as THE logo? The "think green" one is especially pleasing and clever: - It promotes eco-friendliness - It shows it's a coin currency - nxtcrypto.org is mentioned - It has those NXT symbols And it's very distinct.

Time to move to smaller fees. What MIN fee should we set? Remember that lower values make it cheaper to bloat the blockchain.
Discuss.

Start with 0.25. After this we will make it 0.1. Later 0.01.

Actually - I don't see it (and I knew about that project before most others). Average people don't even know who Alan Turing is and I think would understand something like "can process transactions as fast as VISA can" much better than something that is "Turing complete" (they would probably say "oh - so did this Turing guy forget to complete something and why is it that we need to do that now?"). On the fees - I'd go with divide it by 10 (so 0.1) and see how that goes first before perhaps dividing by 10 again (maybe that won't be necessary for some months).

Is that poll we had void?
I think CfB had said something along the lines of "voting should not be via forum polls but instead via posts" presumably made into this topic.

You cannot be serious with this statement. What percentage of people have even heard the phrase "Turing-Complete"? What percentage of people hate standing around waiting for that little machine to spit out their Visa slip?

Is that poll we had void? Good question. We just voted on this same issue only weeks ago. Are the results not counted?

+1 If it is not much works needed on coding side, just divide 10 incrementally making 0.1 NXT

Think competition.
Understand that *because* of their design our "Turing complete" competitor will *never* be able to do as many TPS (they will probably end up unable to even do as many as Bitcoin). I don't think we should be trying to compete in that space - personally I think some sort of separate blockchain for such "luxuries" would probably be a better move. Also as much as I admire Alan Turing's achievements I don't think his name is going to be much in the way of a great marketing angle.
