collected all api-enabled exchanges exist so far. 17 new exchanges added, so it's 41 in total.

complete list:
http://www.nxtexplorer.com/download/exchange-list.txt

writing the api fetchers for those exchanges now and building the db-backend with a fast json client api on top of that.
as soon the data flows in, some unique plugins could be built bounded to the nxt-client.
if well done, they could not only usefull for the nxt community but also attract other coiners and lead them into nxt-space.
the data is also good to add them into blockexplorer, (marketdata, e.g. performance comparision nxt/other coin), double benefit.

I pray for such efforts to result in software similar to MetaTrader 4 for cryptos!!!    Kiss

Edit:  Don't really need to code new software...  BTCe is using MetaTrader 4.

or like a distributed meta(nxt)trader?
but first we need all free data as quick as possible, store, aggregate and convert them into something meaningfull.
strategy now is to take all and add filters to usable data series later since we don't know yet what data is valuable for nxt in a couple of months.

Awesome, nice work Nexern, really like the blockexplorer and think we can add some useful market data.  When we can test your client?  I'm still following this thread everyday as I think it's a great spot for general updates.  The new forum is great for specific project updates and brainstorming.

I have always been curious to hear what other alt coin developers have to say about NXT.  I even ask myself if they even know about NXT.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out at the Texas Bitcoin Conference that a lot of "major" alt coin developers were FULLY AWARE of NXT and it's technological features.

In this 6th and last video interview with Vitalik Buterin (one of the co-founders of Ethereum (ETH)), we talk about about the differences between Ethereum and other alt coins such as NXT.

http://prisonorfreedom.com/what-is-the-difference-between-ethereum-vs-nxt-or-any-other-alt-coin/

It was very clear to me that Vitalik was very aware of NXT and it's features.  Unfortunately, I was not in a technical position to have any worthwhile debate with him about the differences between NXT and Ethereum.

In the video, he states "good luck [to NXT]" when I asked what prevented NXT from also developing a scripting language.

What does this mean?

Is NXT able to add a scripting language or is it already too late?

My impression from talking to Vitalik is that a scripting language needs to be created from the very beginning n it's too late for NXT to create one and that is why he said "good luck".

Is my understanding correct?

Enjoy!
Tai Zen

As of 2014-04-09 I no longer post as "Asian Prepper" and will post under my real name "Tai Zen" to eliminate confusion.

I imagine so as nxt stands out from the crowd. other coins are all same now nowhere near as much dev suppost or features of nxt. we are all here for the long run i can guarantee you that. welcome to the community. by the way nxt is a bargain at current prices

just copied the first link, the individual api calls could be different, because some exchanges requesting a key.
you can identify them within the api documentation.

very nice video Tai Zen, was fun to watch it. of course he is aware of nxt. moreover he is also aware about the time-advantage nxt have.
this is critical to ethereum. if you look closer to what vitalik said, you find out that nxt has already everything ethereum plans.
the functional differences for the scripting language is very minor in results but huge if you consider the now, real existing featureset
compared to ethereums roadmap.

(one reason why i recommended a feature matrix today, to make exactly this visible)

edit: instead ranting here about a completely normal price oszillation, during a general crypto downtrend. we better concentrate to transfer the
existing featureset message.

I can only guess that he knows something that we don't know. Maybe some hidden obstacles that r very hard to avoid. I bet Vitalik spent much more time mulling the idea of Turing-complete scripting language hosted on a blockchain than anyone else, so I tend to think that we overlooked something and will face serious problems in the future.

I seriously doubt that - I have had *many more years* experience than he has as a "software engineer" (and was initially invited to *join* Ethereum by Charles).

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

Distribution and a quiet spell while devs are busy at work, the btc downtrend and loss of confidence in cryptos due to exchanges and such, we also had a little boom with the alias feature where the price over inflated a tad, dont worry if you hold your nxt you will be pleased when all features start to suface, alot is happening behind the scenes atm
