In my continued quest, I now have a response to the polite request I submitted on our behalf to Coins-E.com a few days ago

SBC/BTC pair now available for trading Grin

Mission 2 : accomplished!

As with the other recent exchange (CoinedUp.com), please help give these guys some volume and business. You all wanted options, well in the last week we have now opened up two more options and extended the reach of SBC. More for us to do yet as a community but we're moving forward.
Outstanding!
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

has anyone noticed problem with accounting rewards on http://stablecoin.miners-pool.eu pool?
I'm mining there since yesterday and all was OK, but now it looks like I'm not getting any rewards Sad

I can see my shares in pool stats, last block was mined 22/12 17:01:43 and was found by myself!
Same time my last credit in transaction history was 2013-12-22 05:01:25 and after last block was found I got no unconfirmed coins

can anyone confirm you're seeing the same thing? I have only 0.71% invalid shares so can't see this being an issue my end (and it was working fine until this morning).

update:
definitely something's not right, another two blocks found and I got 0 reward

There may be a problem if you haven't received anything after 12 hours.  Have you contacted the support team?

I doubt you will get much help on this forum.  You can also post on the Stablecoin forum in the "Mining" forum.  You might get some help.

I find rewards to be very erratic, because they depend entirely on chance.  The time required for a block, the time for confirmations, the difficulty, the level of network traffic, the time to complete all shares (including the excess percentage) are all variable and my own payouts vary from 2 to 8 hours.  Averages out to ~4 hours/25+ coin payout, or about 200/day.

It's not that I'm not getting any payouts to my wallet - it's that I'm not getting anything credited to my account on the pool when block is found (Credit transaction on my account on the actual pool - this is granted every time block is found).

As for support team, maybe I'm blind but I see 0 contact details on the site Sad

Thanks for getting back to me, I will post in mining forum as well.

Yeah, I see now.  I might suggest that you try a different pool.  I am on SBC Cryptopool.it.  I have also been on coin-base.org and SBC Cryptoculture.net.  All three have proven reliable.  All three use the same dashboard and have a support tab where you can get help.

Cryptopool is the smallest with a hashrate of < 4 MH/s and 20 miners
Coin-base is second with a hashrate of ~ 13 MH/s and 49 miners
Cryptoculture is the biggest with a hashrate of ~ 150 MH/s and 200 miners

LOL!!! If Cryptopool gets any smaller, I'll be paying a fee for solo-mining.  As it is now I'm at about 50% of the total hashrate.

SBC is now supported by the altcoin tip bot on Reddit. It's a great way to spread awareness. Smiley

Not sure if anyone did anything or not but all my coins have been credited to my account in one go and the pool seems to be working ok now

Thank you the spirit of great mining machine  Wink

How does the hardfork work? Is it something that happens automatically when enough people have the new client or does something need to happen?

great job oncebitcoinedtwiceshy ! good news.

about the price, don't be disheartened just look around all the Good Altcoins crashed along with Bitcoin & Litecoin in the recent sell off, at the end of the day on the long run only coins with good fundamentals which include active development , infrastructure and marketing will survive.

The prices should pick up eventually, The only coins currently going up by 100% or more are clone coins that serve no purpose and have been pumped and dumped in multiple cycles already.

artos will release a new mandatory update to the SBC wallet/program.  It will be announced on this thread and on the SBC forum.

The mining will be better after the hard fork.  Part of it's purpose is to restrict the degree to which difficulty rises when one of the multi-pools jumps on and begins mining SBC.

Right now everytime that happens, difficulty can triple or quadruple making it hard for the regular pool miners to get coins.  with the hard fork that increase will be limited.

So what's the deal with this fork, if I'm mining on a pool do I have to have confidence the pool operator is up to date?

Getting close to the block, at 310831 currently.

No, what's happening now is simply that the big multi-pools aren't mining much SBC.  Since the price went so low, the profitability has dropped to where it simply wasn't worth mining for them.  Over the last couple of days however, I have noticed that they are beginning to take notice again . . . profitability (vs. BTC) has begun to rise once more.

Yeah, the last few days have been fantastic.  I've doubled my total SBC holdings in this one week.

May be old news to some but I just noticed that SBC came top in a recent public vote for new crypto coins to be added to the CoinPayments.net merchant payment services solution.  They have now added it as a supported coin so if any of you are building sites that will take SBC payments it's probably worth a visit and read to see what they are offering.
