I love my grain. It's going to be a fine harvest indeed. I too love my grain. Bosian and Bee7 are doing a great job. I'll be sitting on mine collecting PoS for a long time before I consider harvesting. I see great long term potential in this one

I'll be sitting on mine collecting PoS for a long time before I consider harvesting. I see great long term potential in this one Same here. I almost have 2 million grain now. The 5% PoS really makes it valuable to hold, which I think is what's keeping the price from going down. Logically, if the price goes up, then it's even more valuable to hold, so it acts as a sort of price anchor. If we can raise the profile of the coin, either with new development projects or website payment acceptance, I can only see the price going up further. Personally, I can very easily see grain fetching 40 Satoshi in the short term future. Even 60. We really need to promote the PoS aspect of the coin. Everyone loves to earn interest. Grain has earned its place in my signature. As all coins I think hold great potential do.

I am new to the POS thing, so please excuse my noobness ...
I have around 300k in my wallet which has been open for over 24 hours - should I see a POS payment by now ?

It can take a little while. Keep an eye on the total. The stakes don't show in the transaction history. It took me a few days before I started seeing mine come through. You'll also get small amounts of grain come through as transactions.

Did not know that - will do some sums now and see ... Thanks ! It will show up in the Stake section of your wallet, then it will transfer into your balance. I catch my wallet doing it once or twice a day.

Does Grain, which has 2 week coinage generate approximately 2 times more PoS blocks than coin which has 4 weeks coinage? Is it cumulative effect or are there some other variables involved?

Oh I understand now! So the stake are my coins, and the transactions are the stake awards in proportion to my stake. So will my stake continue to get larger as time progresses? It seems to be getting bigger each day.

It seems to be getting bigger each day. The "stake" is the coins that recently participated in a PoS block generation. After 50 blocks they are returned to the normal state and in 5 days will get old enough to participate in the PoS generation again. You will never see all your coins in a stake unless you merge all of them in a single input by merging them together by sending to yourself the whole amount. There is no reason in doing this IMO, as any coin has fixed maximum number of 'cycles' per year. You can't use your coins while they are in stake, but the coin age for these coins is reset at the moment of PoS block generation, so by merging them manually you reset the coin age to zero again, thus you extend the period of being not eligible for the transferred this way coins.

So min coinage is 5 days??
