im calling the bottom at 45 satoshi....

45 is currently the bottom.

Does anyone know when dogecoin block rewards will be halved?

At current pace, probably about 1 month.

Yeap, then hold for a month and it should be win win. That will clear out the dumpers.

The dumpers could also be pumpers.. Right?

With the three exchanges ( Vircurex, Coins-e & Cryptsy) trading Dogecoin...

Vircurex is the better of the 3 exchanges so quite naturally the big orders

Are most likely to come through the exchange that has the least problems.

We have all had our fair share of experiences from cryptsy... Problem after problem
Its been that way for months now.

@147 million dogecoins. .. Either someone truly believes in dogecoin or havent
Tooken their medication today

I take it you were not around last summer when IFC was hyped and pumped very much like DOGE is now. The troll box insider talk was almost unbearable.

I posted in all giveaway threads listed a couple of pages ago. No Doge's received.

I'll guess that sums up the immediate forecast the next few days.

[...]

I sent you 288 doges
Merry christmas

Merry Christmas  Grin

On a different note, Doge's behaviour is the same as other new popular coins. Its hard to go through the whole bottoming process until the next rise. Could take months.

Yesterday there was 80+ bitcoins of volume of DOGE on Vircurex, mostly at a higher price than 50 satoshis.

So for someone to put part of the bitcoins they sold their DOGE for back onto the buy side at a puny 50 satoshis price could easily not be an investment at all, simply an allocation of part of their "take" toward forcing people who do want to buy to have to buy for more than 50 satoshis.

In other words, a way to at least momentarily (until another miner blows that buy wall away by dumping some of the billion or so DOGE that gets mined per day) stop the price the suckers are paying from dropping below 50.

Notice that selling for 51 satoshis coins you buy for 50 satoshis is a 2% markup, Vircurex only takes 0.2% in fees, so simply buying at 50 and selling at 51 you'd make 1.6% or so while Vircurex makes 0.4% or so (0.2% on the buy side aka when you buy plus 0.2% on the sell side aka when you sell).

So it seems more likely to me it is more likely to be someone simply milking it rather than someone "investing" in it. The entire offer is likely financed using bitcoins the got by selling DOGE for a whole lot more than 50 satoshis.

Netcode pool admins are giving out HUGE tips everyday on /r/dogecoin to promote DOGEs.

Just saw them giveaway 2x 25000 DOGE tips

Go make some productive posts on that sub-reddit and who knows you could be next.

45 BTC order on cryptsy too.

Yes.  Its called DEMAND.

Here is a theory why:

Besides a fun, friendly MEME which makes people laugh. In general, people like buying higher quantities of something even though each unit is worth less. This actually makes DOGE worth more.

it's psychological.

What would you rather own; 10,000 Coins or .00001 of a coin?  Which sounds more rewarding?  What math is easier for common folk?

Maybe 100 Billion coins is actually of one of DOGE's greatest strength?

If only 100,000 people owned 1,000,000 DOGEcoins that would equal 100,000,000,000.

For only .5 BTC one can become a DOGE-millionaire.   For many, $350 is small investment considering the

possibilities.

That's the same theory I have Wink
