Hello my friends in the pst couple of days been experiencing lots of issues with Cryptsy. Yesterday it took over 12 hours for deposit to go in and now today for withdrawal of seems like we are on the same path. What do you guys think is the problem here. Cryptsy, Slow Doge transactions or something else? Can someone look and tell me. Just trying to learn. Also balance out seems to be lower by 30,000 doge coins, thanks guys http://dogechain.info/address/D5JdgxcXhr2H9kdMki3n93NbZQbzYHywLJAs anyone can read on the main page of cryptsy.. Big Vern explained the Doge issues there and here: http://blog.cryptsy.com/Yeah I had seen that but since they had said that the issue was corrected with the new wallet, not sure whats going on If you actually read the blog, you should create a NEW doge deposit address on there. When you create the new one, your old address will still work for deposits that haven't gone through yet (or new ones even). I can 100% confirm that the new addresses work. It took over 14 hours for my last two deposits yesterday, and I have one left waiting at about that mark. Mid-day yesterday, I created a new deposit address, and made another deposit, and that was there in 1-2 hours. So for effect: IF YOU HAVEN'T CREATED A NEW DOGE DEPOSIT ADDRESS ON CRYPTSY IN THE LAST TWO DAYS, DO IT TO FIX DELAYS!

Geez this thing is SO overvalued when compared to real world valuations of just about everything, $82,000,000 market cap on a meme coin. That's larger than 80% of all tech, mining, biotech, and e-commerce startup companies that are available on stock exchanges. This high of a market cap is usually reserved for biotechs that got FDA approval on their new drug, or mining companies that have found a precious ore, but here we have doge breaking it no problem. World's gone nuts. Whatever, my 195's look good. I'll take it.

For the big miners to keep mining doge profitably prices will have to double, otherwise they will move to other coin. So if big miners decide to move to other coin if they have not dumped everything yet, they might dump it right after block halving to pay power bills and all that. Either way, should be interesting. Hold your doges.
Halving will cut supply.
Price will explode.

lol bitcoin now illegal in russia... but after 6 hours...my doge finally arrived at cryptsy...i hope the price will reach 210 again or higher...then sell...and then i hope that the price will drop xD I hope that you sell and the price keeps on rising so you'd need to buy back even more to even out your loss, and then you decide to stick to it long term and realize you could made alot of more money if you hadn't sold out the first time

That market cap it's just a bunch of numbers. If everybody would be willing to exchange their doge to usd , I doubt we will all end up with more than 10 millions.

whats the 2nd,3rd best exchange to buy DOGE? Mostly used is Cryptsy but I hear it got way too much problems and delays...and I want to buy DOGE before the halving.
Try this one. It seems best for DOGE at my view point. https://bter.com/ref/84863

Yes, but you need to understand the incorrect value of the way all of these coins have a market cap determined. They put the value of the current price on each and every share. That means that each share would be worth the current market price, which we all know is not the way it works. So, to inflate the value of a crap coin, or even BTC, you need to control a good portion of the coins, and simply deal with the other coins being sold more than bought. It's quite a simple process, assuming you have the funds behind it to control it. The hard part is it requires an extreme amount of patience, as time is what makes most people believe the current market value, and once they believe, that's when profit comes for the person manipulating. So, before looking too closely at market caps for ANY coins, ask yourself how many coins would it actually take for the value to drop significantly? That, is much more important than market cap. In fact, look at what happened to BTC on BTC-e... Dropped to 100 with a 4000 coin fat finger. Be wary of illusion, and temper greed with logic. I am also wary of coins that have very big walls on each side of the order book. FTC was held in check that same way. Don't kid yourself, Doge is very highly manipulated by wealthy whale(s), and it's going to hurt when they decide to try and profit, but enjoy the ride and lock in some profit along the way.

I get what you are trying to say, but you are wrong about it just being numbers. Market cap is the defacto way to valuate currency, stock, and now cryptocurrency. Besides you can apply your logic to the above startup companies that I mentioned as well, so in the end my point still stands. Geez this thing is so overvalued, $82,000,000 market cap on a meme coin. Another thing I learned from the stock market is buy fear sell cheer, buy the rumor sell the news.

Yup , but also the drop was for only a few seconds and orders were back in a matter of minutes. Will the same happen for other coins ? That is the question. Some of them might even die with such a drop.

Block Numbers Per-Block Reward First Block Expected Coins Produced (approx) Expected Total Circulation (approx) 600,001+ 10,000 (fixed) 27 January, 2015 (estimated) 525,600,000 per year No limit
Unlike some other cryptocurrencies, there is no limit to how many Dogecoins can be produced. According to the schedule, approximately 98 billion coins will have been released by January 2015, when block 600,000 is mined. Thereafter, approximately 5.2 billion more coins will be produced per year, in perpetuity. During December 2013 and January 2014, Dogecoin's developers discussed in public forums whether this should be changed.[18][51] On February 2, 2014, Dogecoin founder Jackson Palmer announced that the supply of coins would remain uncapped.
Why is the coin UNCAPPED! Could this be a problem?
Halving will cut supply!
Next halving which will cut the suplly hard? Time / Moment?

Uhhh that's how it's done everywhere, including currencies and the stock market.... I'm assuming that cryptocurrency is most people's first trading venture. I've traded stocks for 10+ years and you can apply your false logic to anything including a company like Google. Ask just about anyone in the world of finance how a valuation of something is determined and they will point at the market cap.
Given your 10+ years at trading stock, then I assume you pick a stock on more than its market cap. The point is the market cap means nothing, it can dissolve in seconds, and unless there is a basis for it such as earnings per share, or company valuation, it is just an arbitrary number that means nothing in its true value. As mentioned, the market cap can increase millions, just by a 20BTC purchase depending on walls that are up at the time. I'll agree with you that most people are very new at trading in this realm, and those are the people that most of us make money off of. If only people could overcome greed and illusions of becoming a millionaire with their million Doge, they would be able to slowly accumulate the wealth by playing into the plans of those manipulating the coin.
