Any reason for getting 16gb vs 0gb version? Furthermore, any estimates when these become available for order. I assume getting them to EU will be pain in the ass.

We're shipping to EU customers from inside the EU. Currently, the only planned use for the DDR4 memory is to store multiple bitstream images used in rapid reconfiguration.

Question, would that mean the FPGA can have multiple algos at one time? Or does one bitstream can only do 1 algo at a time? Is there anyway to do multi-algo profit switching on the fly or does changing bitsreams have to be done manually each time?

There is only so much space on the device though and multiple bitstreams can be stored in memory so that other bitstreams can be swapped in. As I understand it, whitefire is planning to use this for X16R.

Hey,
Please forgive me ignorance, noob. What is so good about 20.48Mh/s for $3K? Is it more to do with the low power? For me personally I get free electricity. Would my money be better spent on a GPU rig?

So with your 16GB model, does that mean that you can accomplish X16R with only 1 FPGA since it can swap with the built in memory?

Many thanks for all the updates and efforts. Certainly looking for 1 to start with the potential to add more depending upon finances....
Best regards Paul.

The one with mods and without mods has the exact same descriptions. What are the mods exactly? Seeing if it's worth the premium...

Correct, the current pricing displayed on the site is what we will be selling for when sales launch. If i did end up going for it, id definately go for premium model. But as i am waiting to see people receive the cards and bitstreams, and what the performance ans hassle setting it up will be, i think there will be long delivery times if i finally decide to go for it lol.

Does this mean once the sale opens you can already ship at the price in Europe or Euro customer will have specific pricing in € ?

Several questions :
1. Approximatly, how many time do we have before the effective sales ? some days ? week ? half a month ? more ?
2. DDR4 memory : if we already have a 8 or 16 Go DDR4 memory, can we use it instead of buying the global package ? If yes, no matter the DDR4 frequency ?
3. Is 1 FPGA enought ? Do we need several FPGA, depending on the algorithm used ?

Can't wait to get my hands on these FPGA cards.
I've read that you've mostly anticipated that these cards are going to end up in open air miners. Would placing those in 4U server racks be possible? Do we need to have water cooling or 6x 2000RPM fans would do the job if servers are placed in a datacenter with closed cold corridors?
Thanks in advance for the reply.
