We hit 5-6k worth of CAT from the blocks, compared to the 1m+ catcoins already out since the fork, and you think that this has virtually any effect on the price? A problem was fixed, people are returning to mine (at least for now), and what I'm hearing is that you're basing the coins somewhat stable current price on crashing, and impossible to raise, on a 12 hour window of forking, and maybe even the day or two before. That's nuts dude.

In any case, there's a lot of support for this coin still. TeamCatCoin, TeamDoge, Poolerino, there's quite a list of people who are working on this coin on their own as well as with the author.

For those who feel that *this* is the official channel that EVERYTHING catcoin should be discussed, perhaps you should branch out a bit. IRC, multiple forums, cryptotalk, these are all other places both this and practically every other coin discussion exists. There has been more intelligent mannered talk in most other venues as this one (such as #catcoin, #teamcatcoin, #hackshardgaming on freenode) of the people working on this coin in a few days than there has been on this thread since inception.

Quick Start

Start with registering on our pool & creating workers for your computers. You can use our automated config generator in our workers page and download pre-configured files for your mining software.

EU Stratum Server: stratum+tcp://eu.coinum.org:3336
US Stratum Server: stratum+tcp://us.coinum.org:3336

CGMiner Configuration

Here is sample CGMiner configurations with fail-over support. Given that the stratum server you use fails, your miner software will continue to work with out other stratum server.
Note: You have to change WORKER and PASS with your actual worker-name and worker-password values you get from workers page.

EU
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.coinium.org:3336 -u WORKER -p PASS --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3336 -u WORKER -p PASS --scrypt -I 13

US
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3336 -u WORKER -p PASS --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://eu.coinium.org:3336 -u WORKER -p PASS --scrypt -I 13

  • Our network - We already operate first class & high performance pools, check our other pools over http://www.coinium.org
  • %0 fee - Our network have no fees! We just kindly ask you to donate if you like to.
  • Stratum servers - We have stratum servers in Europe and  United States. Right now we have a total of 4 servers (2 stratum server, 1 webserver and 1 database server) and we are quickly upgrading & adding new servers to stack when we need to.
  • Fail-over config support - In case that the stratum server you use fails, your miner will just continue to mine with our secondary stratum server.
  • VARDIFF enabled - Our stratum servers will shift your work difficulty based on your hash-rate automatically.
  • DDOS Protected - Our servers are DDOS protected 7x24!
  • Automated backups - We get automated backups of our system.
  • Automatic payments - You can set automatic payments if you like to.
  • Fast confirmations - We are quickly processing your transactions once newly found blocks are confirmed.
  • Automatic config generator - Check our workers page to automatically download a generated configuration file for your workers with fail-over support!
  • Continous support - We are eager to help our users! You can ask for support in our forum topic.
  • IRC support - We have operators in our IRC channel and you can chit-chat about mining too.
  • Mobile friendly - We have mobile friendly user interface so you can check your miner's status from your mobile devices
  • Contests - We are regularly creating contests and giving bonus coins to our miners!

As always, I'm continuing to ignore the Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt spreaders. This coin has something other coins don't; momentum.

If you want to go troll a coin, go to it do Coinye West if you want a pump and dump gimmick.

As I said, and others said even before the fork took place, prices would go up, then they'd dip before anything else would happen. I'm still holding onto my Cats, and I'm still supporting this coin.

In other news, BTC breached $1000 again earlier. That's why Altcoins (including CAT) are doing so terribly at the moment.

has momentum toward where the sewer, and check market capitalization now almost all alt coins in the green but this one still in the red the only thing keeping it from bottoming is the buy walls which i believe was planned by the ones who hold the majority of coins suck everyones coins up and when people cant hold anymore and they have a good portion raise the prices for one final dump or maybe then they will let the price rise cuz they hold such a portion come on its obvious

Exactly. Catcoin isn't the only coin this is happening to. People need to stop comparing established altcoins to pump and dump coins. Those prices are incredibly unstable and caused by the few who are able to manipulate the pricing. This coin had zero premine, has a strong community and now has fixed the difficulty issue that was holding it back.

It's been less than a day since the Fork. We want the price to gradually increase, not fluctuate all over the place. That's the point. Give it time.

Of course the cat/btc price will fall when btc/usd is on the rise.... It is too intertwined with fiat not to.
to intertwined with fiat what are you talking about pure dribble. it will lower in value cuz bit coin rises so steep but intertwined with fiat please do elaborate perhaps im clueless and my apologies if so cuz my ultimate goal is to get better at this stuff so i am sincere in wanting an explanation.  I am in to deep to get out now so im in to the end where ever that is.  There is a lot i do/did like ex. no premine, scarcity, the name, this forum first and foremost, thats why i stayed in it.  I hope you all are right believe i do I just am having trouble seeing why it is not gaining except to believe market manipulation any feed back would be muhc appreciated

Net hashrate is now DOUBLE what it was before the fork; 0.34 ghash/sec, compared to 0.17 ghash/sec before the fork.

The difficulty dropped straight after the fork. Think about it. Why do you think prices have gone down? A dump after the fork. Give it time. It wasn't the smoothest of hard forks either.

The coin now has a new difficulty adjustment. The market has to find an equilibrium with the coin again. You can never judge a coin's future value based on big events; big events cause price spikes.

It's been less than a day and, and yet again, soon as the price dips, the doom naysayers come out. Wonder why that is? Cheap Cats maybe? We've heard people saying this coin is dead throughout the entire thread, and yet here we still are. Listen to sense, not the select few who want to panic you into selling at a low price.

No matter how bad it gets I'm going to wait. Not going to sell at less than half price when I can just sit on my CAT and recover that way (and possibly even profit significantly).

Really, if Catcoin was going to die off it's already had 2-3 chances for that to happen, yet here we are. People need to put the situation into perspective; we're not the only coin suffering massively at the moment. Once BTC corrects and settles back down things should start getting back to normal.

All things considered, we handled the hard fork so goddamned well.

well like i said im gonna ride this elevator to where ever from here and i hope your right how many coins do you have if i may be so bold as to qualify your answer with that question not that it necessarily means anything and how many did you hang onto before/after the fork vs how many did you pick up after price drop

If I panicked every time the price dipped, I'd now have exactly 0 Cats. More than anything, I would regret more selling now and for Cat to soar. Fortune favours the brave.

catcoinforum.com deleted our coinium pool thread and a few posts of mine. When asked about;

no specific reason, didnt even know there was such a thread. Re-post your thread, sorry for the inconvenience.

So threads & posts seems to be deleted mysteriously it seems... lol. And such a coincidence that the post was criticizing them about sending email & advertising just a single pool.

and they're the ones who sent email to registered users and telling them to use poolerino which eventually caused the fork-of-fork...

I have 1049 Cats. I didn't buy or sell any during the Hard Fork because it was too unpredictable for me. I held onto my coins. I honestly wish I had more, and if I make any more BTC next week I'll buy more at this price.

I'm not going to tell anyone else what to do with their money. I'm going on intuition and everything about this coin that I think will make it a great success. Whatever you decide I wish you the best of luck and fortune, but I'm staying put, whatever happens.

If Poolerino gained 51% of the network and the fork with it, anyone invested in Poolerino would have had a lot of coins to gain. I don't hold much stock in conspiracy theories, though. I don't like what happened at all at Poolerino. That's all I'll say.

Who runs the CatCoinForums?

Why are you deleting Raistlinthewizs posts about coinium and why are you sending out email blasts telling everyone to use poolerino? You caused a 51% yesterday with that shit.

Either start managing your forum like an unbiased community or shut it down, you're only doing irreparable harm by playing favorites and acting as the official forums.........

Who the fuck are you to tell me what to do. Rastlin "post" wasn't deleted, it wasnt even in the system or the backup logs. There was no reason for someone to delete it anyway, if its much trouble why cant he just re-post it instead of causing yet again another argument thats not needed.

Fair-play this community is starting to go down hill..

few of you are starting to act like little bitches, just chill the fuck out, yes i admit "Suggesting" only one pool in an email was a bad descion, but it wasnt my fucking fault if he was on the wrong fork let alone 51% since he could of closed registrations & I NEVER FORCED ANYONE TO SIGN UP AT POOLERINO, YOU SEEN AS SOON AS POOLERINO WAS DOWN THEY WENT TO COINIUM, I NEVER TOLD THEM TOO.. THEY DID IT ON THERE OWN!

Yes you did delete it. Anyone who visited your forums yestarday saw it was there.

Oh if you still think you didn't delete it, then it comes to fact that threads & posts gets deleted mysteriously on your "so called cat-community forums" which then I'll suggest you to inspect your SQL or software or whatever.. lol.

And even better,

Update: Haha, I'm banned now from "so called cat-community forums".

You know why? Because I criticized them about %51 fork-of-fork issue that we had yesterday. And they deleted my posts & my pool's advert thread. And I'm banned now cause I revealed this...
