Can't you guys make those big tournaments Friday or Saturday?

I really wanted to play the 10,000 chip freeroll but it starts at 2 AM in a work day...

The 10000 chip freeroll for high krill earners migrates around the clock, it runs every 530 hours. The "Over 1 year!" 10000 chip freeroll is 9pm ET which works for a lot of our players, weekend might be better for many, but we do need to spread things over the week.

Play Bitcoin Poker at sealswithclubs.eu. We're active and open to everyone.

Got a few chips from one of your freerolls. Going to check out the games now. Thanks for giving me a way to play online poker again.

I do really love this site, Poker with BitCoins and no Poker tracking software. Instant deposit and fast cashout.

Only thing I'm not particularly a big fan of is the software, don't get me wrong it does the job just fine, but might put a lot off. Used the Android client recently and that's not too bad I guess. If this site had a proper downloadable Windows client, I honestly think it'd take off just like any other Poker site. I think it could even end up in the top few poker sites if it had a polished downloadable client.

For some feedback:
I love the tables. They work just great, and not much different in feel and appearance to any other Poker site. Nice sound effects of chips, something gamblers like to hear on their tables lol.
It's the table browser, trying to find a game/tourny that I don't like. Feels quite clunky, can't use the scroll-wheel which is a bit annoying. No filter, although it's not particularly necessary when it averages at 100-300 players (Android client has a filter though!). Quite old-fashioned in the way that it has 2 separate columns (Seats : Play) for showing whose playing, rather than say 1 column that says 2/6 (meaning 6 seats 2 seated). Am I being too picky?

It's a great site anyway, just giving my feedback as a player.
It's a nice fresh change to typical poker rooms where everyone (including myself) relies on poker tracking software to track player history.

I'm gonna start playing here more often, I don't know why I didn't start playing here before.
I think it's because I couldn't part with my Poker Tracker, lol...

Any posts from me that were posted in Russian were NOT from me. A cykablyat obtained my forum login details when they were leaked, I was inactive from the forum at that time.

tyvm for feedback.  Note that SwC is always working behind the scenes.

A full featured client with tons of new games and awesome features is something almost everyone wants, but is incredibly complex system to build and is not something to be taken lightly.  I thank you very much for this feedback, I agree with you on all points.  [FFFF insertion: FFF-^FLW5MVTZH ] I personally have been playing mostly on the Android app because like you said it sorts better (or at all) and IMO the playing experience is a better if you are just playing 1 table.  Better Multitable functionality is being built into a not-too-far-in-the-future version so the "now" answer may become a 10 in" android tablet...

Also, I hope you fingers are FAST

FFF-EPLGC#JZTK
FFF-PEI^R51TM9

and thanks for the feedback for real - I can tell you gave your honest opinion & that's always nice to see IMO.

Used the Android client recently and that's not too bad I guess.

The Android client is being updated frequently.  If you haven't updated in the last couple days, please do and give it another try.  Visuals have improved and a ton of bugs were fixed.  It's still a work in progress, but progressing well.

Also in the works for Android are same screen multi-table and tournament support.

Oh, and you can always use BlueStacks to run the Android app on your desktop (pc/mac) if you really don't like the web interface.  http://bluestacks.com

no crash party at all - free and open discussion about all bitcoin poker IMO.

but if you google around, you can find that SwC is the balls when it comes to bitcoin online poker in 2/2013.  We have the only active "pure bitcoin" site around.  I'm very proud to say there is not a close second currently.  This is likely to change by the end of 2013, as there are bound to be more entrants into this space very soon.

until then,

The first bitcoin poker site went down after getting hacked: http://betco.in/

PMPoker had regular freerolls for a while and attracted around 10 regular players, but I don't think anyone plays there any more.  The Windows-only Delphi client kept crashing every time I tried it, too: http://pmpoker.com/

Strike Sapphire Casino used to have popular freerolls and the occasional real-money ring game, but when they cracked down on groups of players who knew each other playing the games kind of died out: http://strikesapphire.com/

Infiniti Poker has been threatening to launch for a while now, but seems to be in closed beta: http://www.infinitipoker.com/

2 off topic Q's while I gotcha here though

1)  when, in your opinion, is Bitmillions +EV to buy a bunch of tickets for?  i.e. what does the jackpot have to be on each of them to warrant firing? I got a feeling when it first came out that bottom jackpot was very +EV and the middle was too when it was like 200+ coins

2)  when, in your opinion, is bitcoinvideopoker +EV to turn autoplay on and just let it grind like a boss?  IMO ~ 4500 ish

Oh, and you can always use BlueStacks to run the Android app on your desktop (pc/mac) if you really don't like the web interface.  http://bluestacks.com

You inspired me to look into whether it's possible to run the app on a linux desktop.

Turns out it is, by installing VirtualBox (sudo apt-get install virtualbox-qt) and loading up an AndroVM image in it (http://androvm.org/blog/download/).  I found I had to "tar xf *.ova" to get at the .ovf file inside before I could load it, but then it worked fine:

Isn't bitmillions currently +EV?

1094 * (1/3,921,225) + 74 * (1/10,211) + 1.99 * (1/143) + 0.01 * (1/6.86) = expected return per ticket
= 0.02289989078

The 1k btc jackpot actually contributes very minorly to the EV - even without the jackpot AND the 74 bitcoin match 3, the EV is 150%.

And this isn't counting the free tickets you get for high roller.

Of course I might be wrong :/

I don't really even singletable.  I kind of suck at poker and have found it's relatively +EV not to play, unless I know for a fact that my opponents are worse than me...  I don't mind testing it on the VM, but as far as I can tell it is just Android running on a virtual machine, and so will behave identically to on a real android device.  Except I couldn't get 'Draw Something' to run for some reason, so maybe not...

I think you might be.  Are you forgetting that when you win a pot you only get 50% of it?  I wrote a reply to Micon's post last night but didn't finish it before the Internets went off for the night.  I'll post it below.  Your number for the expected return is a little less than twice mine - which would be explained by you forgetting to halve the rewards for the 2, 3, and 4 pots.

Here's the reply to Micon that I wrote last night but couldn't post:

1)  when, in your opinion, is Bitmillions +EV to buy a bunch of tickets for?  i.e. what does the jackpot have to be on each of them to warrant firing? I got a feeling when it first came out that bottom jackpot was very +EV and the middle was too when it was like 200+ coins

2)  when, in your opinion, is bitcoinvideopoker +EV to turn autoplay on and just let it grind like a boss?  IMO ~ 4500 ish

1) The 3 pots on bitmillions will average around 13288, 51.9 and 0.97 when they pay out (and will pay out half these amounts, since 50% is retained for the next winner).  When they are at those levels you can expect to lose the 10% house edge.  When they're higher, you can expect to lose less.

The formula to work out how much you can expect to get back from a 0.01 bet is:
Quote
  (12*pool4 + 4608*pool3 + 328320*pool2 + 137164.80) / 94109400

If we plug in the numbers above, we get:
Quote
  pool4 = 13287.84; pool3 = 51.905625; pool2 = 0.97133
  => 0.009
ie. your 0.01 bet returns 0.009, as expected.

If we plug in the current pot values:
Quote
  pool4 = 1093.9234; pool3 = 74.56854; pool2 = 1.741585
  => 0.0113
we see that the game is currently quite (13%) +ev.  Every 0.01 you bet you can expect to get 0.0113 back - presumably because both the match-2 and the match-3 pots are three times bigger than their average sizes.  The match-2 pot is the most significant pot (37% of your returns come from it, vs. 28% from match-3, 19% from match-4, (and 16% from match-1)) - because they put 20%, 30%, and 40% of all losing bets into the match-4, match-3, and match-2 pots respectively).

The game is always +EV when match-4 is over 66994, when match-3 is over 174.5, or when match-2 is over 2.45, no matter how small the other two pots are:

Quote
  >>> pool4 = 0; pool3 = 0; pool2 = 2.45; (12*pool4 + 4608*pool3 + 328320*pool2 + 137164.80) / 94109400
  0.010004832673463013
  >>> pool4 = 0; pool3 = 174.5; pool2 = 0; (12*pool4 + 4608*pool3 + 328320*pool2 + 137164.80) / 94109400
  0.010001772405307016
  >>> pool4 = 66995; pool3 = 0; pool2 = 0; (12*pool4 + 4608*pool3 + 328320*pool2 + 137164.80) / 94109400
  0.01000011476005585

but in general you'll need to put the 3 pot sizes into the above formula.  Or use:

to do it for you.

2) As for video poker, it depends how you play.  If you play perfectly then it becomes +EV at 4921.1, but the bitcoinvideopoker auto-play plays a basic sub-optimal strategy, so it probably needs to be more like 5100.  Here's a hand-wavy justification: Each 1000 in the pot increases the expected return by around 0.495%.  Perfect play returns something like 99.55%, so an extra 1000 in the pot (making 5000) is more than enough.
