We got a press in here : http://cryptopulse.com/vertcoin-live/

Awesome. Does anyone know how to contact them - it seems the article was written before we had an exchange as it doesn't mention 0daycoins.com

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Is it possible to solo this coin anymore?

I have been solo mining today with a 2x 280x rig. Have found 12 blocks in 10 hours.   Cheesy

how much hashes does an i5 give?

i7 giving about 2.5KH/s for me, I think it would be very similar.

really, has anyone ever try the windows gpu cgminer one (the Vertcoin-CGMinerAleks_NR3.zip) ??
it doesn't work!

all my gpu (270x, 280x) always reported all hardware errors
even with the lowest concurrency below 1k, low/high intensity doesn't matter, all hardware errors.

also, with 280x, if you try to set any concurrency above 4k, the windows cgminer will just quit complaining not enough memory..
so i guess everyone is using the linux one.. cause almost everyone that posted their cgminer setting here are setting their concurrency above 8k and working.
but that windows cgminer mod just simply doesn't allow that whatsoever..

I'm holding at least half my VRT stash for when scrypt ASICs actually show up for sale, and at least a quart of it for a year or so after they've hit the market.  I think this is going to be a good long term coin (though not bad short term either -- 0daycoin prices can get you $40/day on an R9 290)

Many thanks to Aleks for releasing the CPU-enabled CGminer. Can we get that for Linux as well?

I'm finding the odd block with the windows version. I compiled for linux, but have seen only rejected blocks so far, perhaps I did something wrong.

Can someone else compile and post a linux binary?

The same. Getting only rejected blocks under Ubuntu 12.04

Oh boy, difficulty is going up x6 in about 4 hours, so make that $40/day per R9 more like $6 per day, still, 0.007btc/day/R9 is pretty good, should start shaping up around one of the most profitable coins over the next few days as everything settles down and more hashrate keeps hitting the network, nice to see the pools evening up - everyone PLEASE follow the advice on vertcoin.com and go on the smaller pools to keep the hashrates spread evenly.

So if N factor reaches from 24 to 25, there'll be no rig which can mine this coin anymore, and the block chain will HALT.

In the year 2694?

I think CPUs and even GPUs might have advanced a bit by then...

So what happened with http://vert.bitcrush.info/ ?

Seems to have disappeared with some people reporting having balances there when it went.

Vertcoin is setting up some new pools - see the last page. We need more pools soon the way this is growing.

There will be no vertcoin by then and not even a single sound about it, for starters.

Sorry the webserver has been down.
I fixed it. Won't happen again

I hope the OP will list it again on the website

Your balances are still their. You might have noticed that the payouts also continued after the website went 503

attention miners, traders and anyone who is interested in coins

vertcoin is a unique coin, not a copy and paste doge or litecoin clone

our developer is actually active YES I KNOW CRAZY . you can actually talk to him on irc , crazy concept right (at least with the last 15 coin releases it seems the dev posts, dumps,an vanishes)

vertcoins dev is active all day , setting up pools , helping those who need it and just saying hi

our network has grown 10x since yesterday , but the difficulty is still relatively low , so you can get a decent days worth of coins
we are on an exchange https://0daycoins.com  still low volume but that will also change as we grow and people see this isnt just another copy

www.vertcoin.org has the gpu and cpu miner for linux and windows (you cannot use normal cgminer, we have posted a modified version for each os since we use Scrypt-Adaptive-Nfactor)

join us IRC FREENODE #vertcoin stop by and say hi or if you need help with anything.

see you there!

My account was hacked , i have recovered it but the person promoted straight disgusting trash lust ico.. i do not and would never support that
