faster CPUminer for vertcoin is done, based on pooler-cpuminer. Source only, no more changes from my side. It is my fear this will be used by botnet operators. https://github.com/Bufius/cpuminer-vertMore speed than the existing CPU miner for Vertcoin? -> yes, nearly 4 times faster (with AVX, AMD A4 4000@3Ghz) accepted: 51/51 (100.00%), 4.89 khash/s (yay!!!) Can anyone make a windows build? Windows build here http://kilovolt.co.uk/Vertcoin/cpuminer-vert-Aleks_N.zipEnjoy!

I have a question : Why "Vert"coin ? My primary language is French and "vert" in French means "green", so I was wondering why "green"... Am I wrong ? Yes, I believe the dev thought of green when naming it.

I think this one is not build from Bufius code. I'm not getting any speed increase.

I'm a little confused. What is a reasonable hash rate to expect with this? My usual cgminer settings give me 500-600kh/s in regular scrypt, and with this scrypt-n-factor coin I get 15kh/s with my usual settings.
These are my usual settings: -I 13 --gpu-threads 2 --worksize 256 --shaders 1792 --thread-concurrency 12188
Now I am using only: -I 13
Right now it's giving me 160kh/s.

Right now this is a GPU coin, just like scrypt, or sha256, you can use CPU to mine them, but it's not profitable.

Drop your thread concurrency, set workgap to 2, and you should see an improvement. Expect 40-50% of your normal hashrate. While that sounds bad, remember that everyone else has 40-50% reduced hashrate, so you're still getting the same share of coins as if it was a normal scrypt coin.

Hi guys, I want to give you small warning based on my experience. Some fag probably hacked to my account on bitcrush.eu and changed payment addres to his. Normally I have wallet up all day so I see transactions comming, this time I just had to turn it off for 20 hours and that time he hacked in and changed address.. lol, so I lost like 400 coins.. whatever.. He sent it here: VssiCuXx8LCrG9pbe2ShiMTKJ5TLQYmbCZ http://explorer.vertcoin.org/address/VssiCuXx8LCrG9pbe2ShiMTKJ5TLQYmbCZI hope admins from bitcrush soon tell me if it was some bruteforce attack or just someone sniffed my password?? Damn.. or maybe some shady pool operator doesnt crypt passwords and then knew my pools password and smoothly get in? Dont know.. curious what they will find out.. but better watch your account at pool if this doesnt happened to you as well.. its my first such experience.. never hapened before and I have accounts on like 100 pools.. Can you somehow "track" this transaction and identify it? Maybe if he sends it to some exchange.. tell them to block it? Is it possible?

ny.vertco.in has their contact sytem broken.. I tried to reset my password, and after pressing "Reset", got a blank page. Same thing happened when I tried to use their contact form to let them know about it. Never got a password reset email either.

OP UPDATED WITH NEW WALLET BUILDPlease can everyone update their wallet using either the links in the OP, or at http://www.vertcoin.org to help out with making sure new users wallets can sync quickly, and smooth the process as the VTC network grows.

Just to add, network hashrate has _doubled_ the past _4 hours_!!! Not only that, but we have some serious guys moving in - one with 10MH/s (equivalent to 20MH/s normal scrypt, so about 30 x R9 290s!!!). Vertcoin is getting too big to ignore any longer - keep the momentum up guys, vote at https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/64057 if you want to trade VTC at Cryptsy.
