Hello Everyone,

Thank you all for your continued support. As stated many, many times we are in this for the long haul. While many people would like instant gratification and quick results this is the real world, things don't "go to the moon" without a lot of hard, consistent, committed work. We have a lot of work ahead of us, and many upcoming events. 2016 is going to be a big year for DigiByte.

For those new to DigiByte and cryptocurrencies it is important for you to read the following: http://www.digibyte.co/digibyte_legal_disclaimer

Quote
4. Investment risks

The investment in DigiByte can lead to loss of money over short or even long periods. The investors in DigiByte should expect prices to have large range fluctuations. The information published on the Website cannot guarantee that the investors in DigiByte would not lose money.

We also hate to disappoint people, but we do not control the price, the protocol or the network and we are also not active traders (no time). DigiByte is open source, decentralized and a free market. Right now speculation is driving the market, we are working to get away from this by providing real world utility and use cases. That is the only way to sustain the market long term. Unfortunately at the moment their are individuals working against this and even personally attacking members of our community and team in very inappropriate ways. This is very disappointing, but we will not be deterred and we will push forward.

We are publishing updates through all DigiByte social media portals. We also are planning a newsletter from DigiByte.co and we have set a target date for the first newsletter of April 18th. This newsletter will occur the 1st and second Monday of every month to give everyone consistent updates. In between we will post updates as appropriate.

As for the New York FinDEVr event, we have zero control over the video. This is the conference organizers and they have told us the video will be released here in the next few days: http://findevr.com/videos-container/

For those who think i'm on "vacation," not at all, sure I had some personal things to attend to, but still means 5 AM to 12 PM even after being away from my family, old life and everything I know for two years. There is a lot moving right now and through our previous events we have a lot of people looking at DigiByte and talking to us. We do not want to publicly detail anything until we have solid deals and information to pass on with real substance and solutions. As you all now rumors are rampant in this industry and we have no intention of misleading anyone and fueling a pump and dump.

As for the South Africa event we are still waiting for them to release the video but do not have a time frame. We have reached out asking them for an ETA.

We also pushed out an updated Android wallet, and we will be pushing out an updated DigiByte Gaming wallet here in the next week. The team has been hard at work upgrading several things. We are also hiring more people in HK. So if you are a blockchain programer please PM us.

Thanks again everyone for your continued support and lets keep things positive and moving forward. The strength of the DigiByte community is our ability to rise above "trolls," and other negative forces working against us for a quick buck.

Cheers,

-Jared

"A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work."

A poster pointed out that digibyte is still on a very old code base. 3 or 4 behind bitcoin. Any intention of getting digibyte on par with litecoin and Doge ? This is not a update that will bring lots of marketing but it will earn respect that dgb can also walk the walk and not only a marketing machine.

Gulden developers have also updated to 0.11 code base but not many other alt coins have. Dash on 0.1 only. It's not a easy task and everything has to be updated. It took the Gulden team about 3 months.

What do you call it when someone hypes something to the point of publicizing 5 programed tweet announcements to be sent simultaneously with the start of a conference presentation and then completely disappears for almost an entire week?

What do you add to the description when taking into account that the hype happened at the height of a pump and the disappearance happened as price crashed?

What more adjectives might you think of for the person who denies the obvious facts and chooses to attack those who point them out?

Definitely two sides to the story and this is why I stayed out of the pre hype for this conference. There was a lot of hyping by Jared and the community before the conference and this allowed the community to cash out and make a profit. I am not complaining but at the same time traders buying need to do research before buying into any currency, if a currency was trading at 20-70 ave over the last year and in a week jumps to 190 it's not realistic.

Well, the problem with DGB in my opinion is there are too many of them at this stage, so after every milestone the price surges and then it collapses, I am sure if DGB was listed on Chinese exchanges there wouldn't be such problems. I don't think Jared is doing this on purpose, also, the bottoms are getting higher and higher, meaning developments ARE reflected in the market, yet ofcourse the market cap is still way too low for what it has to offer, BUT I am positive there will be a turning point sometime in the future when buying cheap DGB days are over.

I like to speculate

Nice, This kind of sentences you can see at every altcoin. But it is not true for most of them.
Ofcourse it is true for DGB  Smiley ....and AUR, NLG, Burst and so on.... or not.... it's just gambling.

And like you didn't sell on the recent spike, now your bitching??

you could see this pump coming a mile away it was that obvious.

Its like that with any coin you take notice of.

What? The only coin not to spike is NOBL?

Oh my, but how it's set up.   Cool

Wow, your not trying to pump noble are you??

There's a big difference between bitching about price, and pointing out real communication problems and irresponsibility on the part of the Devs.

I've only talked about the latter, and others should limit themselves to the same so that the issue cannot be confused by those trying to hide their negligence.

FOR EXAMPLE, if I were the Dev, this page would have been posted long ago along with an update on what happened at the conference (a transcript, for example, as I've said various times now). http://findevr.com/videos/findevr-2016-digibyte-holdings/

Deal with the issues instead of trying to divert attention and blame others for your own shortcomings.

Happy HR, Price ~160 sat Hype hype hype and the charts did not work out very well.

triple top so it needs to come down, but that is o.k. becuz i have orders set at 80-84. comon dumps fill me up

Whadaya think about this one? Slightly bigger, and perhaps much more important. ;-)

. . . and with what looks like some great buy support.

Outstanding buy support the past couple weeks as well.

Huge supply has moved down on DGB. 250 million offered below 188 on Polo! 376 million below 200. If sellers get a little nervous they could easily collapse the bid stack and give you your fill. I've got a stink bid in down there too.  Grin  You never know. Good luck.

I will do my best to keep the prices above 100 but when i pass the 100 million coin mark I don't want to get anymore as it will be bad for distribution, if the price goes below 100 sat I will buy at 60 sat until I have 150 million coins, after this I stop. Those in the community that can afford 30-50btc should help me prevent a price collapse.

~125 is extreme lower range support.

For the moment, instead of a break of that level, I think the probabilities of a return to the high 160's is much more likely first.

Mad HR, Price moving down from 140 tot 90 sats

What are the general impressions after the FinDEVr NY 2016 DGB devs? Was it useful or was it not so cool? Any new contacts ?
Where is everybody??? Absolutely no any kind of info here today, I feel like I am talking to myself, not even 1 page filled? Any news from MS Azure they are slow or what?

they talk on telegram

You mean like a circle jerk?

FinDEVr +5 days, 100+ posts, and zero update, summary recap, or simple commentary.

Looks like the devs are buying coins on the cheap again.

Good sign.

Grin

But where is Jared? That's all anyone wants to know.

Maybe he's ill. Wasn't looking good in the pics . . .

Thank you for showing us just how intelligent you are with such a laborious, tedious and painstaking presentation of your inability to separate apples from oranges.

Or, if that's not the problem, what is it then?

Edit: come to think about it, I need to quote you before you delete it.

This is for whoever wants to play.

------------------------------------

So you think what I'm saying has to do with whether I was happy or sad?

What does anyone know about whether I was happy or sad at any given time? I would have to say that my basic technical analysis was fairly neutral and objective, always talking about BOTH bullish and bearish possibilities (okay, there was an optimistic remark or two), and my comments regarding Dev behavior was also pretty much void of personal opinions as well, just stating the facts or commenting on appearances and logical deductions (okay, there probably was some pessimism reflected here and there, but I wonder why).

To suggest that I was either happy or sad is to simply manifest your imaginative personal machinations.

Strike 1

------------------------------------

But let's say, for argument's sake, that you're right and that I was happy when price was going up, and sad when the Devs were AWOL.

But WTF does one cause and result have to do with the other? ZERO!

Strike 2

------------------------------------

But let's say, again, for argument's sake, that you're still right, and that I really was happy with the price rise and sad with Dev neglect AND that those feelings were somehow related to each other . . . the truth is that this kind of upside-down logic even has me confused at this point . . .

Would that somehow mean that I made up the fact that the Devs were hyping on the way up and then disappeared on the way down?

No!

Those are facts that are independent of little old me!

Strike 3

and

You're out!

------------------------------------

And that isn't even to mention that 4 of the “announcements” that were hyped prior to Dev disappearance were old news that everyone already knew, and that the 5th has now turned into the joke that has the entire stadium laughing.

(And if all of this is beyond your comprehension, relax, you're in the right place.)
