Whatever the updates are that you pushed for csgo.. they clearly did not work. Rejected payments or no more payout for days,weeks months now.

Thanks for the feedback. PM us your CSGO id or username and we can look you up in the system.  We implemented several measures to prevent blatant abuse of the system and want to make sure we are not triggering false positives. The pool is paying out CS GO and LOL payouts currently as expected and can be seen here: https://digibytegaming.com/leaderboard?mode=daily

Is mining Digibyte a secret?

I don't understand why the main site has no info about how to mine.

Maybe it's there but it's in santa clause style or something...?   Wink

Psst hey webmaster you forgot the most interesting part... How to generate Digibyte

There's no info for new potential miners that need to know what port to use ect;

Take the how to part from many threads back and copy paste to the site.

Can't find it? My point exactly.

edit: one of the things I look at for a new coin is how to mine it

Yes, because it's magically different than mining any other coin with the same algo, right?

Seems to me that if :

--------------------------------
digibyte.conf
--------------------------------
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
server=1
daemon=1
txindex=1
debug=1
algo=scrypt
rpcport=14022
port=12024
addnode=216.250.125.121
addnode=69.164.198.161
addnode=45.79.10.59
addnode=104.237.137.28
addnode=66.228.56.115
addnode=104.200.17.141
addnode=45.79.135.140
addnode=45.33.7.79

doesn't make sense, then you're not ready to mine outside of a pool anyway.  Undecided

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Actually DGB is one of the 8 sha coins I mine; I was quoting from page 1 of the thread ("Digibyte Facts"), the stuff that twebit said didn't exist.

Sorry, thanks for the correction, I did actually notice after posting where your quote was from. Twebit was talking about DigiByte’s official site and information that could be of particular use to people new to mining and I think you have to agree, this could be better than it currently is. Everyone is a noob in the beginning so saying if you don’t understand something move on, isn’t as good as helping someone understand perhaps, it’s not that difficult is it?  Mining is critically important so anything that will help and encourage it, keeping it more decentralized, can’t be a bad thing now can it….but then again as a miner, less competition is better!  Smiley

but cheers for pointing out a place to find some of the info needed and contributing to the DigiByte network yourself.

where's that link from?  If it was the easyminer, that went offline well over a year ago and as the site migrated it would have been stripped it out.

Wow didn't want to cause this much talk over a simple request to the dev to include mining instructions for DGB on the digibyte.co website.
Well maybe I wasn't clear.

DEV please put solo mining instructions on http://digibyte.co New people hitting the site won't know how easy it is. Most coins fail at instructions for mining. We should not.

Jumbley knows I was working on a document for mining instructions but I gave up because the structure wasn't professional enough, or so I thought.

Also 5% fee on digihash.co is too much. Especially when we have sites like cryptopia with 0% fee.

I've been solomining for months but cryptopia is great with no fees for withdraw so why not? I may go back to solo too but who cares...

When I was a noob I wish there were instructions on the site instead of drilling through thread after thread for updated info.

Check out the new DigiByte website! https://digibyte.co/  We will be adding more over the coming weeks.  Please let us know of any suggestions or issues you have. This new site will be much easier for us to keep updated and expand upon.

First step to take and is very easy to fix and have high impact : Look under marketing checklist  : https://www.woorank.com/en/www/digibyte.co
Track users and activity with Analytics and Webmaster Tools Top Priority
Configure your domain redirects from non-original pages versions
Optimize images for your website

I can visit the site now through https://www.digibyte.co/ https://digibyte.co/ http://digibyte.co/ http://www.digibyte.co/
It is good to redirect the Digibyte url's to one because now i can visit 4 home url's and google see them as duplicate.

So in this example Google wil split then juice/rank over 4 pages instead of 1 and will see it as duplicate pages. To avoid duplicate pages and losing juice it is always good to fix this easy fix ! It is good to setting up a rel canonical https://moz.com/blog/canonical-url-tag-the-most-important-advancement-in-seo-practices-since-sitemaps.

An example al kind of bitcoin url versions redirected to https://bitcointalk.org/

Also it is a good idea to put all the sites in Google Webmasters Centre to receive important technical messages. I hope this will help as well and google don't like duplicate content so it is good to fix this when possible!

After submitting for example Digibyte.co https://www.google.com/webmasters/ it is possible to set a preferred domain with or without www. (https://digibyte.co or https://www.digibyte.co ). Also GWC is giving alerts automatically from very imporant issues!

If the chosen preferred domain is https://www.digibyte.co , all other duplicate home pages (for example  https://digibyte.co/ http://digibyte.co/ http://www.digibyte.co/ ) can be redirected with a 301 to the chosen preffered domain https://www.digibyte.co , to let Google know what the original page is.

Search engines don't know which version(s) to include/exclude from their indices
Search engines don't know whether to direct the link metrics (trust, authority, anchor text, link juice, etc.) to one page, or keep it separated between multiple versions
Search engines don't know which version(s) to rank for query results
When duplicate content is present, site owners suffer rankings and traffic losses, and search engines provide less relevant results.

The rel canonical tag is pointing to link rel="canonical" href="/home-1"/> which goes wrong if i see that google is indexing 4 different domains :  https://www.google.nl/?gws_rd=ssl#q=https:%2F%2Fdigibyte.co%2Fhome-1 so Google think now there are 5 home pages all with the same content. With Screamingfrog it is possible to search for all duplicate content automatically and i will run soon when have more time a rapport.

Here a very good article about this very important issue! https://moz.com/learn/seo/duplicate-content

For alle the Digibyte sites it is also very important that the sites are running fast https://moz.com/learn/seo/page-speed. I just found out that this can be improved https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdigibyte.co%2F&tab=mobile and https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdigibyte.co%2F&tab=desktop

More details : https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/OrUTM/https://digibyte.co/ and some great articles : https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2010/04/using-site-speed-in-web-search-ranking.html and https://moz.com/learn/seo/page-speed

And for Digibytegameing : https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdigibytegaming.com%2F&tab=mobile and https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdigibytegaming.com%2F&tab=desktop

https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/hKarM/https://digibytegaming.com/

http://searchengineland.com/google-says-page-speed-ranking-factor-use-mobile-page-speed-mobile-sites-upcoming-months-250874

A fast site is these days is so important and this will certainly bring improvements!

And a very good tool is also which gives a great information about the seo of a page in this case  :  https://www.woorank.com/en/www/digibyte.co

High impact : Track users and activity with Analytics and Webmaster Tools (Google webmaster for sure )
High impact : Configure your domain redirects from non-original pages versions as described earlier.

Here the descritpion from Woorank : Search engines do not like pages which duplicate large amounts of content on the same website, which can happen when the same page, due to Web configuration or CMS issues, is shown in different URLs.

A common scenario for this issue is found when the non-www and the www version of your site both feature your content. For example, when www.domain.com and domain.com show the home page information.

You should pick either version to show your site content and use 301 redirects to refer from the non-original page versions to the original ones, making show you only show each page through one URL.
A 301 Redirect should be used to refer from the non-original URLs to the original ones.

If you are creating other subdomains, use relevant keywords and avoid duplicate content. Check if your homepage is correctly redirecting to the original URL version with the WWW Resolve criteria under the SEO section in your WooRank Reviews.

With the free web developers tool it is possible to see from every page the h-tags (after installing the webdeveloper tool you can click on "view document outline" to see if the h-tags are well placed or not. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/web-developer/bfbameneiokkgbdmiekhjnmfkcnldhhm  (For home Digibyte.co no important h1 tag is used.
