Any way to get it higher? Why use something that limits the hashrate?

550KH/s from a 280x is excellent. Most people only get around 500 KH/s.
It's actually better getting lower hash rate than other Scrypt-based coins.
Means you are using less power and generating less heat mining scrypt-jane.
It also means you don't have to compete with ASICs due out soon.

UTC is currently more profitable currently than ALL coins on coinwarz.
That's all that matters at the end.
Found this a few pages back
Quote
have 4x 7970 in my rigs, have a hashrate of ~600 KH/s each. mining with guiminer-scrypt 0.04 + scrypt-jane patch:

"cgminer.exe" --scrypt -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD -o HOST:PORT --gpu-platform 0 -d 0 -w 256 -v 1 -I 18 -g 1 -l 1 --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-memclock 1690 --gpu-engine 1125 --gpu-fan 70 --thread-concurrency 12000
Don't get anywhere near 600kh/s with those settings. Would like to get at least 500kh/s. Curently @ 475kh/s

You'll never know what you're living for until you know what you're willing to die for.
Never look back, something might be gaining on you.

I ain't selling till $1
$1 seems very low

its for short term , I will save good chunk for long term @$10

Why would it go to $10, whats different about this coin

Counter question. And why he did not go?? What is different from other startup coins from ultra?  Grin Wink

What the fuck are you talking about?

DOGE succeeded because it has a huge reddit following and great community.

This shit coin will succeed like Sochi 2014 succeeded. Fueled by btc-e moderator corruption and greed. B-but UTC has plans for merchant adoption and unique features! Just like FTC did before they bribed btc-e to add them? Lmao...

This kills the ultracoin.

Wanted to put in my 2 cents worth mining UTC with nvidia 740m card using cudaminer.
Backround: Im a total newbie mining coins and was unable to mine UTC using cgminer (though Ive used it for other coins).
Cuda seems to have added scrypt-jane support with the 2-2-14 version, which I am using.  Using the 64-bit model, with parameters:

cudaminer --algo=scrypt-jane:UTC -L 2  -o stratum+tcp://ultra.leetpools.com:3333 -O u.u:p

At (obviously leetpools mining pool) I was able to achieve about 55kh/sec.  Without the L  parameter I was only getting 40-47kh/sec.  GPU temp running at about 75 degrees.

Mainly Im posting this to (hopefully) help other newbies who were having no luck at all with cgminer.  All I could get were erroneous numbers that I was mining at 11mh/sec, and it only was accessing the intel-integrated video drive (or whatever you call it), instead of accessing my actual video card (the nvidia 740m).  All of my shares were rejected and it just didnt work at all plus it was using 20 watts of power.

Using Cuda miner, Im getting 99% accepted shares UTC, its using 5 watts of power, and while Ive only gotten a coin or two so far, at least its working.

Newbie Zack Smiley

Question: does anyone know if the "block erupter" usb chips on amazon might be good for UTC being its scrypt-jane?  I heard they were good for feathercoins using normal scrypt.  Thanks!

I get the same power draw on Jane and regular scrypt. How do you conclude that?

My cards run 5-10% cooler and uses about 10% less electricity mining UTC with same settings. (1000core/1500mem)
e.g. My 4 card rig pulls 1070W with scrypt and 950W with UTC. My 4 x 280x cards are doing about 500KH/s each.
I use XFX, Gigabyte, Asus 280x cards and they all do 500KH/s except 1 Asus (out of 3) that does 550KH/s at same setting. Go figure.

Has anyone set up UTC on BAMT or SMOS? I have my Windows rig mining it so far, but want to do the same on my other SMOS rigs as well.

Yeah check out my quick tutorial: http://benigeri.com

Hey what pool are you using?
I'm on greekpool and it comes down as often as nitro.

Thanks in advance,

Was just about to see if anyone else noticed lower temps! All my 280x are running 50-60c on UTC whereas they're 60-70c on normal scrypt mining. Need to see how much power is being pulled as it was 1000w normal scrypt.
