It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Or bumface pulls of the deal of the century and gets in on btc-e. Actually I vote for that.
Just an FYI before anyone thinks BTC-E is a viable alternative. They stole $500 USD from me on a LTC to USD sale with a transfer to my paypal account. They had paypal do a charge back and my money is gone. BTC-E support has thus far been useless. You have been warned.

windows wallet and github source updated to version 1.6

checkpoint has been added to secure the network.
get it at http://www.ultracoin.net/wallet.html

I'm trying to compile the client on debian squeeze.
First it cannot find the splash2.jpg file in the images directory. I resolved linking to the icons/splash2.jpg.
Then I receive the following error:

src/main.cpp:18:53: error: boost/random/uniform_int_distribution.hpp: No such file or directory
src/main.cpp: In function ‘int generateMTRandom(unsigned int, int)’:
