I'm trying to compile the client on debian squeeze.
First it cannot find the splash2.jpg file in the images directory. I resolved linking to the icons/splash2.jpg.
Then I receive the following error:

do you have boost installed?

Yes, I installed the dependencies as indicated in the readme-qt.rst file:

        apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
        libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
        libssl-dev libdb4.8++-dev

maybe the libboost version included in debian squeeze is too old? It is 1.42

the pool cant find any block in 2 hours!

Yes, I installed the dependencies as indicated in the readme-qt.rst file:

Im a true believer in Ultracoin, but there needs to happen more on marketing and that ultracoin needs to be addes on a BIG exchange.

Good idea as this gets publicity. Didn't we have charity post a few pages back concerning horses in Spain? Could me muster enoguh support to sponsor a horse and change the name to Ultracoin? After all isn't this what DOGE and Vert both did?

+ 1 about your info and your super idea about the translators to marketing the Chinese market ! I can not imagine Bumface will not take action in this good case.

See what is happening now the last 24 hours, since that there were some questions to Bumface and questions to him about possibilities to get on BIG exchanges and about marketing of the coin, which was till 24 hour ago like shit.

Together as UTC miners, traders and believers is there finaly, after 12 days (since the start) some real movement to spread the good news about the new Ultracoin.

IMO the first thing to do is to update the main post and website, maybe someone with English as a native language can help with that.
The community has to answer the same questions over and over again, it would be a lot easier if they can just refer to the site or mainpost.
I see u (Bumface) answering questions in all sorts of chatboxes, if that could be avoided u would be able to focus on more pressing matters .

The video about how to mine is a first step, make sure it mentions that hashing rates on scrypt-jane are lower.
If ziggy has the time he should try to make a little text about how the POW-POS is implemented in Ultracoin.
The text should be written so even the biggest noob knows how it works... (Which is hard for a developer to write , so he might need some help on that)

Preferably these things should be done BEFORE UTC goes on any "larger" exchange.
After the launch on a big exchange u might have time to start a funding project, where people can donate to make all sorts of rings and bells (like an android wallet, something like fiatleek,...)

Anyways, that's what I think as a community member... I make it sound pretty easy but I know it requires time

Lots of good points here, the website on page 1 needs to be more prominent as it is actually pretty attractive already. The FAQ section covers many points but maybe they could be sub-page tagged and expanded, then we in the community can point noobies to the right point - http://www.ultracoin.net/faq.html Maybe the next bounty idea is to supply text at 10-25 UTC for additional information in the FAQ?
