It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Damn that MAxcoin!!! also now on cryptsy, in 6 days from start its on al the big exchangen and have a valua of 3$.. what went wrong with UTC and what is doing MAX good.. if we sort that problem meby we can still fix it? UTC now under 0,20$  , coinmarketcap place 38! OUchhh Guys, don't compare UTC to MAX. Max is a hype coin with no lasting value. It's price is more manipulated than any coin I've ever seen - watch on MCXNow how the walls keep the price steady until a Keiser tweet or show, then the walls are miraculously removed for a pump. Then it goes back down to another price level until the next tweet. Now I have some Max, and I speculate with it. I also have a small stake in UTC and I'm holding it. UTC does seem like it will have lasting value. Max doesn't. I keep heraring ppl saying that it will last.. based on what, seriously.. all i see is that this get coin get dumped whenever ppl have the chance.. Where do ppl get the confidence from, looking at the past 2 weeks? I, as a bagholder, wanna be confident as well..  |

Crypto-Trade keeps UTC small and the coin can not grow because there is no serious trading volume at all. Serious traders are not to find at Crypto-Trade and if they will try the will run the hell away because low volume in combination with a not working, slow and stressful server of Crypto-Trade.... Off course we must be happy Crypto-Trade was the first Exchange who put UTC on...but why they did so fast, just because there are no other serious coins with serious future want to trade there...they put there coin on bigger and better exchanges.... The lesson we must learn her is that UTC can only grow, get stronger and will be noticed among the serious traders is that we hit some major exchanges... Fait is good.... but without being on Cryptsy, Bter or BTC-E there is no future for our beloved Ultracoin. So I can onley wish UTC gets in on the big exchanges in a maximum of 1 or 2 weeks... That's what we need ! |

Believing it will last is a good thing, without believers it will not work. In Church people also believe and they are still waiting for proof for hundreds of years... Serious traders don't step in.... Next to this, why would any trader step in and bye a coin in which is no trading volume at all ? We need bigger Exchanges !!! |

I'm mostly peeved that a scamcoin like maxcoin is on both mcxnow and cryptsy! I mean like wtf!
We just seem to be stuck in limbo atm, last thing I want is some of the bigger holders to lose faith and start dumping...

are there any
addnode=
ip's available for the .conf file?
I can't find any IP addresses to include mentioned and I tend to have to be mindful of my ping being down under so if anyone knows: much appreciated

I only know of one that's been setup permanent. Think it has helped a few out so far. Here's his original post. Wallet wouldn't sync on my local pc so i have put up a server node which should be online perminently.

On a side note to all about crypto-trade; It has been slow here and there for me, but I can deposit / withdraw /place orders etc. Even when it's slow there is no reason someone can't place a buy or sell at a given rate. There is enough volume to absorb miners dumping too. I wonder if people that have the most issues right now are Short traders. I don't imagine the site is fast enough for rapid changing of orders and sure that will become more of an issue. For now, even though there's volume to absorb miners; there is not enough volume to absorb short traders also without a significant drop in value (so they can keep shorting). I agree that we need CT to be less laggy long term and hopefully some more exchanges. For now, I suppose, there is at least safe secure access to purchase or sell; so that's good. |

For speaking about myself, I have + 35K of Ultracoin mined..... I will not sell now and if I do (at a certain moment) I will not dump all at once. But, always the but : there must happen soon some serious steps .... |
