Don't forget to vote for UTC at www.mintpal.com/voting
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Why this coin is only down on crypto-trade.com so far through. Someone bump it higher its value and hope voted on cryptsy too. In person I think it have a chance to go up to trade in cryptsy in higher expect value now on alternate other trade exchanges.

If so why do this step for simply request here: https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/75770 . Thanks to all.

I think it's just people (and stakeholders) getting impatient. I had high hopes for this coin and invested quite a bit but progress has stalled. 74 people voting for Cryptsy is pathetic. Even smartcoin (just another scrypt coin) went over 200 votes real quick. The premine (and non-auction cheap selloff) was a mistake or at the very least poorly executed. Those stakeholders can sell much lower than we are now and still have a ridiculous profit. Because not much progress is being made, the people holding many cheap coins are deciding to play it safe and cash out some of their profit while it's still there. That is all. In my opinion the premine is the main reason why this coin is going nowhere but down right now. Also a reason why exchanges aren't jumping to add this.

I prefer constructive criticism but I'm not sure what needs to be done right now, except for a LOT more marketing and exchange bribing. That's what premines are supposed to do, instead of making sure the devs don't have to pay anyone out of their own pocket.

Highest priority is to get UTC listed at coinwarz and coinchoose. It'll increase visibility 10 fold.
This will dramatically increase the number of miners. It doesn't matter if we get more dumpers.
It's still a good thing as that will increase the difficulty which should also increase the price.

UTC network currently only hovers around 2GH/s.
We need this to go back above 4GH/s and more!

kimoto gravity well please.

Don't see why, the diff adjust plenty fast as it is. It wouldn't change how many coins are mined.

On the bright side, we just crossed the line where more coins have been mined than premined.  Also, I'm fairly sure there has been some premine dumping too, but in the long run, that's a good thing, as coins should now be in the hands of people who have more financial stake in it than they did and have a vested interest in seeing it go up.

As for the rest of what you said, I agree.  I've harped on it enough times myself.

As for the cryptsy thing,  We really need the mining pool operators to suggest it through the pool frontend message.  That's the best way to reach the miners that likely aren't reading these forums and it's in their best interests to do so.

Hello All,

I'm rather new new to the UTC and in fact cryptos.Nevertheless,I'm trying to recover the gap  Smiley

Here's a (maybe noob) question for you.Sorry if this was answered before:

I had to reformat my harddrive, had my UTC wallet backup previously which was encrypted for sure.

With the new installation,I've put back the wallet.dat file in place in Windows 7.

My question is,the wallet.dat file immediately worked without asking a passphrase. This means my wallet is accessible without any further security steps.

I can even confirm the situation in Ultracoin 1.6. Because after the new wallet file, the wallet address is updated, coins are there and it opens up the option of "change passphrase" in settings menu.
I wonder how this can happen without asking me the passphrase... Is this normal or a bug?

Awaiting your comments,

Taxidermista

It's amazing that after hundreds of shitcoins someone still believes that "higher diff = higher price". Amazing...  Roll Eyes
