Having an issue with the wallet. I try to load it up the splash screen loads up and then just hangs. Looking in task manager the wallet is just doing nothing but using more and more memory and 25% cpu usage. I done exactly the same as the front page said and am using the latest wallet I assume which is on front page and is 1.0.1.0 version. I am having no issues with any other wallets just the UTC one.

Did you try just wait? Opening UTC wallet can take some minutes, this is something which will be fixed soon (or maybe already is in last version, not sure about that).

If you leave it long enough the wallet should open eventually. I have to wait about 10 minutes for it to open.

Your error is classic out of ram. I had the same problem as you, but with cgminer transfered from other machine. If you are launching it from command line, delete bins you have in your user folder.

When is the block reward drop from 50 to 15 planned? The coin supply should be cut ASAP. Too much inflation....

I'm still waiting for an official tweet or statement. Stocking up in the meantime because when maxcoin announced they were halving block rewards the price rocketed.
