NItro hashrate is becoming healthyer! good job guys, keep it going Cheesy

will shut it down for 2 more hours.
hopefully miners get the message.

Edit: Nitro is now shut down for 2 hours, spread the hash.
Did not notice, fail-over to other pools, then auto-switch back to Nitro when it's back online, come on you know this surely.

best way to irritate miners of nitro and nitro2 is to delete all of their workers every day and for them to add more workers they need to solve 10 captchas. this would make people join other pools
also people with many workers would not put up with this so they would go to another pool.
and since hashrate would be spread new miners would get the same amount of utc as everyone else because the orphan problem would be solved.

this is best way.

bitcoinwomanmag just published my story about being a woman in crypto and my experiences with ultracoin:

http://bitcoinwoman.com/index.php/articles/187-the-story-of-a-girl-developer-in-cryptoland (it's also on their home page)

Great article! It is very good for UTC that you are in UTC team.

Who is selling .0006-0007 UTC?...  If you are, please enlighten me as to what reasons you might have for doing so.  What is it about this coin that makes people afraid to hold on to it?  Maybe the answer would help shed some light on the downtrend.

Perhaps many sold this weekend to buy BC.  Why is BC rising and UTC dropping.  Is it a better coin? Better community? Better marketing?  Very curious to see responses from the community.

Very good questions you are asking.
My honest answers:

Is BC a better coin? Not sure, probably no.
Has it better comunity? Not sure if better but definitely bigger. And bigger is better.
Has it better marketing? Definitely. No buzz about UTC.

All alts are suffering now. We just have to wait and buy cheap promising coins like UTC.

Yes, as you said, UTC is a very promising coins.
At the same time the bottom to buy and sell high, to obtain benefits, this is what we should do! Smiley Smiley

I'm posting my final r9 280X Club3D RQ (5GPU) config for Yacminer, As for a lot of people the .bat generator @ http://www.ultracoin.net/configgen_raw.html doesn't seem to work.

del *.bin
setx GPUMAXALLOCPERCENT 100
setx GPUUSESYNC_OBJECTS 1

yacminer --scrypt-chacha --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 3 --buffer-size 2590 -R 7552 -o stratum+tcp://utc.greekpool.eu:3337 -u login.worker -p pass --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1044 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 50-85 --temp-cutoff 88 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-target 75

- setx is optional, but doesn't have any influence on hash.

- if your last card is slacking behind, drop you "-R"

With the upcoming positive changes in UTC, thought that it was nice to change clothes for new UTC.
According to me, logo Ultracoin (UTC) is not bad. What 's more i believe that it can be better.
I would like to make it look more modern look.
So, three best logo designers are working on it now Smiley

Having an issue with the wallet.  I try to load it up the splash screen loads up and then just hangs.  Looking in task manager the wallet is just doing nothing but using more and more memory and 25% cpu usage.
I done exactly the same as the front page said and am using the latest wallet I assume which is on front page and is 1.0.1.0 version.  I am having no issues with any other wallets just the UTC one.

Did you try just wait? Opening UTC wallet can take some minutes, this is something which will be fixed soon (or maybe already is in last version, not sure about that).

If you leave it long enough the wallet should open eventually. I have to wait about 10 minutes for it to open.

Ultraminer Settings for 280x(Sapphire R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 OC VAPOR-X) With 4GB system Ram

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -o <Pool> -u <Worker> -p <Worker Password> --lookup-gap 3 --thread-concurrency 36864 -g 2 -I 12 -w 256 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1052 --no-submit-stale

This gave me No HW error and a hashrate between 40-45 khs

When I upgraded my system ram from 4 to 12 GB ram, YacMiner became more usefull
