Hello Bumface and Dev-team,

I have two questions;

1;
Many (future) traders in UTC are no whizkids, just like me.
When V3 or higher is available, please make the download procedure more easier then now it is at V1020.
So please think about noobs like me, we al have difficulty's with up/downloading of updates because there are big risk at stake because of the treasury in our wallet.
So think with your dev-team about a easy and safe noob-proof setup of the update-procedure for the new and upcoming wallet updates....

I have downloaded, on a new pc, the new wallet V1020 from the website.
When starting/opening the wallet (takes about +10 minute) the UTC-logo is continues seen for about 2/3 on the desktop.
I this normal ?
Can this be changed in V3 ?

If you really want to get specific, it opened on Freshmarket.co.in on Feb 6th, I believe.  It was then promptly hacked within 2 days and 20% of people's coins were lost.  It opened up about 2 hours later on crypto-trade -- a day earlier than planned but I think they pushed forward with it due to Freshmarket adding UTC first.

Can someone please explain how to download the new wallet in simple terms. I have wallet.dat backups, but what's with the all the extra update jargon to get the V2 version running. Why can't i just delete the old wallet (saving the wallet.dat) and click on the ultracoin website and install the new wallet with a new qt. Why does the new V2 version not have a qt program. And that damn speedy link you gave looks to be full of added malware crap included. What's up with a simple wallet download link where all I have to do is change out that wallet.dat file?

Step1) Download the new wallet file and extract it somewhere. The only file you will need is the new
         Ultracoin-qt.exe file

Step2) Find the old Ultracoin-qt.exe file and delete it and replace it with the new ultracoin-qt.exe file that you downloaded in 
          step 1

Step3) Then find the folder   "computer name"/appdata/roaming/ultracoin and delete all the files in it ACCEPT the
           wallet.dat file. KEEP THE WALLET.DAT file.

that's it, then just restart the wallet and it will download the whole blockchain again.

the only file you must use from the new download is the .exe file, it replaces the old

@bumface: i had the same error with the official utc wallet download (via xwebhosting) by yesterday.
slow download speed, then jump to 100%, crc error when opening the file, no .exe file inside.

the other link (shady filehoster^^) you published on twitter worked fine.
