I still do not see all these coins "locked" (temporarily, not locked at all, I know I know...) as a good thing, on the contrary. What's the point of a currency if it does not circulate was and still is my dilemma.

What do you think the value of Darkcoin would be without Masternodes?

Integer units in circulation is a meaningless metric, we have a decimal point and eight decimal places.

Circulation among the general population is the goal, and that is entirely independent of and unaffected by coins being 'locked' in Masternodes, except that more Masternodes = stronger network and greater value/service proposition.

Vertoe & Flare are owning testnet right now.  They're on fire.

v0.11x will be unstable for a while as any glitches are ironed out but I just managed to send some DRK through two rounds of denominations so quickly I spat my coffee onto my keyboard.

Holy amazeballs Batman, v0.11x is looking great!

I promised to zip it about my dilemmas "until..." Smiley -- and yes, I do get the real purpose of MN (I own one as a small token of support to the coin I am hoarding) and I was never told as many times as here how stupid I was (given my dilemmas as meaningless metric) but I keep my right to be concerned.

And zipped about it. I just provided the community with a bit of statistics asked.

This is going to be staying in testnet for a while but darksend is looking so much better than it was.  Seriously impressive improvements to the end user experience.

Time for some darksend ping pong!

Woah the growth rate of the number of active MNs is quite impressive. I believe we can reach 2000s within mid feb.

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Minimal Darksend 1.5 DRK
Does this mean , in case DRK would ever reach BTC high levels , you will have to spend 1.5 DRK as minimum ? , and then you get back change splitted ?
Could anyone help me out here ?
Thanks !

The 1.5 DRK are the minimun amount of DRK you need to have to go through the Darksend process and anonymize your coins.

Once your coins are private, you can spend down to the lowest denomination which is 0.1 DRK.   Remember with Darksend you can just go through the anon process once and keep a certain balance of anon coins and then spend from there as needed.

One quick question... Does denominating and "setgenerate true" interfere with each other?

Those recent GitHub commits are very interesting, good enough to write a new DRK article.

If anyone can submit it to DRKCoin subreddit, that'd be appreciated Smiley

I have been thinking about the alt coin race and our position in it and have been feeling really good about dark concerning the ways in which it still is bitcoin, and what are the ways in which it differs from bitcoin. With vertoe's work we will in our next upgrade be taking advantage of 0.9x bitcoin core, which is a few years worth of world class upgrades which I don't believe any other serious competitors in the anon space will be able to enjoy if I'm not mistaken. Drk api is also compatible with BTC api which makes adoption much less of a headache. The ways in which drk in its current and future state are different than bitcoin are ways in which bitcoin was intended to be but is failing(trackability & transaction time being painful). If you look at the coins who are in the top market caps, you see "coins" that don't resemble the satoshi currency at all. Obviously an NXT or Maidsafe type deal has massive utility but its not really a satoshi coin and not really competing with us. The ones that do resemble the satoshi coin are obsolete, and then there's us.

I don't keep up with our anon competition as much as I should and don't want offend anyone's pet coin, but I think its interesting to consider cryptonote is satoshi-less, as well as not having 5 years worth of world-class upgrades. It doesn't seem like zerocash is right around the corner, and by the time its here we will have 3000 masternodes, instantx, ip obfuscation and god knows what else. We don't have gifs in the in-wallet chat and that is a good thing. I hate to say it, but so far there has only been bitcoin, and the altcoins. Bitcoin is definitely gonna pave the way and drk shows serious homage to btc, sticks to the plan, but is providing genuine added utility.

The balance seems to have display issues. There might need to be some stuff fixed, but yes, denominations are much faster now using the high precision matching engine Smiley

OK, thanks. I set it to denominate a 1000 over night but only had 604 done this morning, and only mined one block, so I was curious if they might be slowing each other down.

And to continue my testing...

Step right up folks, and get it while its hot!!! For only 10.0 DRK (test) you to can have your own piece of Strix's genuine goodwill!!! This non-tangible asset is guaranteed to warm your heart, or your DRK will be returned, no questions asked, as soon as you fill out the appropriate paperwork.

This is a limited time opportunity, so send your DRK now to: yANquBvsG1FpEdxUGdHTJzZ6h3yDx9kH1u

The latest shift for the Darkcoin multipool paid out over 52 DRK.

Still need more hash for Sha256, Scrypt & X11 algo. If you got some, bring it over! You'll make the same if not more DRK.

Cheers!

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!
