I've been w/ this coin since inception.. and one thing i know that is one one of the first 500 pages somewhere (i can spend time to bring it up) is a quote from Evan who promised to work on this coin until jan. 2015... is that still the case?

Happy New Year MangledBlue, sorry I forgot my touchpad at home  Tongue

Evan said at least 2 years, so it doesn't mean he'll quit in 2016 if there is still stuff to do, he'll be there, but not alone!!

This is my first post in this new year, and I am so glad it is in the Darkcoin thread.

2015 is going to be the year of the DARKcoin: The year when the world will wake up to value and to regain their privacy.

All the best for the miners and for the Masternode owners.

I wish success for the whole Darkcoin Community in this year, and that this success is greater and greater in the years to come.

Ok, here is a question for techies :
When you look at Block pages of different pools (http://darkcoin.miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks, https://www2.coinmine.pl/drk/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks), you can see that the block reward ("amount") is between 3 and 4, depending of difficulty.
But if you do yourself the math with the formula 2222222/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2) given by DRK staff, you find that the block reward is near 5 or over, with the same difficulty.

My question is simple : why ?

Good morning in 2015.

Yes I remember that, with whole new year there will be more developers who will join the battle for privacy.

The block reward is split, miners get 65% and Masternodes 35% currently. The formula gives you the total, the pools are probably giving you the miner cut.

BTW (because almost everyone seems to forget that):

Reward =  MIN(MAX(2222222/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2), 5), 25)

Ok, wondering what the 'official' method for reporting software errors?  Do we post them on Github?  I have found 3 errors, 2 client and 1 masternode.

Happy New Year to all!  Be enveloped by the Darkness.
