But at what price would Litecoin mining be so unprofitable that it might actually kill the coin?
i cant remember if i read it on the wallobserver-thread,
or if there was a segment on letstalkbitcoin,
(i think it was ltb ... )
about that topic but i cant remember the figures.
but what i didnt thought about:
-> price drops
-> mining becomes heavily unprofitable
-> miners pull out (massive)
-> -> the difficulty is so high that the rest of the network cant solve blocks "at all"
-> it takes month/weeks till the difficulty-adjustment happens
-> coin gets useless in the meantime (transactions take forever)
-> -> coin is dead.
// there where some examples. (coins)
// and they predicted LTC to die exactly that death.
///// i dont think that the BTC-price matters that much. its more about ltc´s own "value" than it is about the price of the "reserve currency" (btc)
