Gavin Andresen tweet,
http://junseth.com/post/112626834687/stop-talking-about-confirmation-speeds-start
 Dark Coin was built, originally, to solve the anonymity problem. Now they introduced what they think is a fix to confirmation times. And yet, it has a fraction of the hashing power being pumped into it.

All of bitcoins hashing is from 1 pool so how is petahashs any better than gigahashes of mining in keeping the network stable, and also the decentralized masternode system should keep the network doublely stable as an extra network layer, or am I missing something?

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

We need this (https://medium.com/@benedictchan/building-the-world-s-first-open-source-multi-sig-bitcoin-exchange-a6f1221eff46) for Darkcoin ASAP.
Great business opportunity for somebody.

Maybe we should get this guy to add DRK to his trustless exchange project:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=946174.0

From reading that thread I get the impression we are still at least 1 or 2 years away from a fully working and reliable exchange.

Too bad David Zimbeck got scammed by Bob and his fagbuddy with the BitBay project and is stuck developing it by himself out of sense of duty to not let scammed investors down, and haven't been able to commit finishing NightTrader.

I wouldnt touch it if someone cracked something. Privacy is no kids play. It can prove dangerous. Would Snowden for his life use a system which got broken and patched?

Every piece of software ever written has been broken and patched.  Roll Eyes

Well who's paying attention to such minor details when your pants are wet from precum.

Hard to tell because they usually do not announce the price of the winning bid. Even the winner last time refused to say how much he paid for 1 btc. But last time we saw a price increase till the auction day and then gradual decline. I have no clue how market will behave this time.

Wow! I don't follow such things, but does G.A. make a habit of commenting on alt coins??? Then there is The Guardian article.

Seems we are clearly past the "first they ignore you" stage.

We seem, through our success, to have reached the "Then they fight you" stage:

If the winner paid more than $300 then why wouldn't he say it publicly? It can only raise the value of the coins he jut bought.
