Eduardo, get a life. Go visit family or something. Make the best of your time. Read the Kuran or the Tibetan Book of the Dead, or even Deepak Chopra if you must...

Or better still, just read the synopses and save the "juice" for when you go to jail for your HashFast scams. They will do you good. You'll have time to reflect on things.

 Mind boggling these guys..

Anyone who ever got scammed by Dash, please show up and raise your hand !

[Bitcoin-development] Looking for GREAT C++ developer for exciting opportunity in bitcoin space

Hello,

We’re a startup looking for 1 or 2 really good C++ programmer that is
familiar with the bitcoin internals to help with a for-profit startup.

We will be able to provide more information about the project after signing
a non-compete/non-disclosure agreement. Our coin will be one of the truly
unique coins that are not just a clone of the original Bitcoin code. In
short the project will be a merge-mined altcoin that will provide a very
useful service to the whole crypto-coin ecosystem.

If you have added any features to Bitcoin or related technologies this is a
definite bonus. Please include information about the work you’re done in
the space.

We have detailed plans on how to implement it and the roles we are looking
to fill. If interested please email eduffield82@... with a
description of your work experience and we’ll vett the applications and
share our plans to see if you’re interested.

Thanks,

Evan & Kyle

I'm not sure where you got the idea that Bitcoin-development was ideal for hiring scamcoin developers, but it's not. Most of the people on this list are smart enough to realize posts like this are dumb ideas backed by greedy "entrepreneurs" who don't understand the system they're trying to improve 99.9% of the time.

I would strongly suggest that if you have not done so already you hire
someone competent to do an analysis of whether or not your idea makes
sense at all; that you are using merge-mining is a red-flag because
without majority, or at least near-majority, hashing power an attacker
can 51% attack your altcoin at negligible cost by re-using existing
hashing power. If you are starting a timestamping service that may be an
exception, but how to turn a profit doing so is non-obvious.

I would offer that consulting myself, but it would likely be a conflict
of interest with my employers. I'd be happy to speak informally in
private, but am explicitly unwilling to agree to any
non-compete/non-disclosure terms.

Evan & Kyle,

I have a very unique and one-of-a kind offer for you. I will buy your company
from the revenue generated from my AGPLv3 copyright licensed Minco.me(c)
cryptographic currency, which will revolutionize work by ensuring that anyone
with a Mincome(C) address doesn't need to work.

Ask yourself.. why would someone who can write a cryptocurrency want to *work*
for you, to get paid with... money.. that they can just ...
** write code that makes them money **

Please be aware that any concept(s) that I have publicly discussed, or that
we may or may not have talked about if I would have signed a non-enforceable
non-compete agreement are COPYRIGHT 2013,2014 Troy Benjegerdes, and that I
would advise you seek competent legal council to ensure that this email, or
any other contact we may or may not have had does not contaminate your
business model with a viral copyright license.

To everyone else on this list, I'm sorry, I just could not resist feeding
the VC/marketing trolls.

That might be asking a bit much. The way his deranged posts have been going lately, a few lines of "Daisy Daisy" might be more realistic.

No wonder you are bitter and you need to grind away here to try and get the XMR price up.

Their regular Polo sugar daddy didn't turn up on time and the bottom's started falling out of XMR which is why they're all over here bouncing off the walls.

Please would said sugar daddy attend to business and get it back above 2 again so we can have some peace around here  Wink

Oh, I haven't watched it in a while, 0.00189, that smarts!

So their desperation is justified, but misguided attempts to attack us aren't going to help them hold the fort at home, though. Tough spot to be in, indeed. There's still small amounts of Dash available here and there which may serve as an escape route from the misery...we won't hold grudges.

This is really cool, it shows when the idea was starting to take shape!  And funny, Sourceforge has also had a lot of trouble with scammers apparently.  Obviously, that's created difficulties for those who legitimately want to start a project.  Anyway, I have one question, why was this posted?  I just missed the reference.  Thanks!

reposting this here as it is relevant:

So eduffield says the instamine wasn't a scam, i guess that's all the proof I need!  Roll Eyes

What do you expect, that's he'll admit it?

Was the instamine a scam? "Definitely not"

Ok now it insta crashes when I type "setgenerate true".

Time to go to bed and try again next week?

Yeah, let's do that. I obviously need to do some more testing. Thanks everyone!

Best thing to do I guess. Please, confirm you won't be launching after some minutes/hours even if you fix it, and the sooner would be tomorrow, thanks.

Definitely not. I'll also follow up with this post when I do set a time.

Seeing a pattern?

Deceptive launch time, lack of windows wallets, the supposed "bug" that instamined over 23% of the total coins in circulation in 8 hours - anyone with brain sees exactly what happened here.

In regards to this: https://dashdot.io/alpha/?page_id=118

What is your response to this:

Quote
If you don’t like that it was an instamine, that’s fine, go invest in something else.

If you don't like hearing criticism about your oops!stamined scamcoin, that's fine, go click on another thread.

I'm going to venture a guess. You bought the original hype about Darkcoin when it was $12-15 (when we had no technology and just ideas!), then it fell to $5 and you were looking for something to blame and learned about the instamine? You've been waiting for months for it to collapse and it's not (real next-gen technology, really amazing 50+ member team, 10000+ hours of work has been put into this project in the last 1.5 years). What are you going to do when you finally realize it's not a scam, then it takes off and no one cares about the instamine because the technology is whats important?

The whole instamine is over blown because every coin that's even moderately successful has founders with >5%. Dash is on the low end, our founders have way less coins than the Bitcoin devs, Ripple, etc. Bitcoin for example was unknown with a handful of miners for nearly 1-2 years, they mined 6 million coins during that time. Satoshi alone was thought to have 10%. Our entire team combined has less than 10% of the supply (current supply, not total). So what?

What about corporations? They all start out with "Instamines". Does that make every corporation in history a scam?

Okay so you put "NO PREMINE" on your thread title...

yet fail to mention the INSTAMINE on the front page of your thread and your website and forum.

If it isn't a problem and "corporations" instamine things why not openly advertise it as true and not disguise it as a version of crypto that is legitimate?

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

MORESO....

I take 100% responsibility for the instamine as a bug and as a feature of Dash. As it turns out, all cryptocurrencies have founders with more than 5%. It's not "everybody does it", but "it's required for the success of a cryptocurrency".

If you are going to take 100% responsibility of the instamine bug when your coin launched then please put "DASH was instamined and this many coins were mined in the first X hours" on the front page of your website, forum, and threads. You should have no problem advertising it since you are taking responsibility for it.

Has anyone posted this great article here yet?
https://dashdot.io/alpha/?page_id=118

As I watched Evan's video on the Virtual Corporation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEJKZjTx9Bg I've been thinking about an IPO ("initial public offering," for the uninitiated).

DASH could ponder that route also:
-- Each Masternode would be a class "A" share;
-- IPO would issue common shares;
-- DASH token / coin / currency would still be a unit exchangeable for services and products (or other coins, fiat on currency exchanges) not unlike renminbi - yuan distinction (an official name of the currency and its units' denomination).

Therefore, another issue to ponder as we look what is the best route for DASH to be "widely adopted" would be ISO 4217 (currency codes) and SIX Interbank and see how to get DASH classified as a currency. (in the US we're already and "asset" based on the IRS ruling)

Mind you, we would not be the first ones to do so. I have no idea what has happened with their initiative (a quick Google search might reveal more) but bear this in mind: "The Bitcoin Foundation’s Financial Standards Working Group will focus on applying for ISO 4217 approval for a Bitcoin currency code as well as drawing up recommendations for a Bitcoin currency symbol and Bitcoin subunits."

Edit: a link Tante posted or re-posted https://dashdot.io/alpha/?page_id=118 is already a great document for the "financial disclosures." Anther route for DASH to gain traction would be to consider (Evan's transparency is an incredible valuable asset for such a move) Rule 506 of Regulation D private offering. MN as a share "A" -- and given that Rule 506 D stipulates you can't offer the shares to "non sophisticated investors" (i.e. those who can't afford to lose the money) the offer can and should be private. But the talk about it could be public Smiley
