Will Dash be able to use IPv6 by then?

It seems ridiculous for Dash to fork Bitcoin and then load on so much extra crap that IPv6 functionality is broken forever.

That's not good for the network's diffuse/diverse properties.  Any attack that only works on IPv4 takes out 100& of all Masternodes instead of only most of them.

You're right! I think we should build our own mesh network because any attack that only works on the Internet will take out 100% of all nodes. Or even use some sort of quantum communications in case they'll come up with EM jamming.

I think Dash should be able to maintain the IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity it inherited from Bitcoin.  Maybe even bolt on i2p when Monero is done with Kovri.

Altcoins are supposed to push the envelope, not regress.  Do you want Dash to also abandon IPv4 and to back to SmallTalk, or perhaps ARPANET NCP?

Kicking 140 Masternodes off the network just because Evan broke IPv6 compatibility is asinine.  That kind of hideous kludge solution might be OK for a testnet but not the real thing.  Those Masternode owners collectively paid ~$16 million USD to put their money in a HYIP that is suddenly and arbitrarily being ordered by a centralized authority to function differently than as originally sold.

Why weren't Masternodes allowed to vote on whether or not to disable IPv6 and thereby kick 140 of their own off the network?

Is that how "distributed democracy by blockchain" is supposed to work?

What's the point of Dash's governance structure and voting when it's funding scams while Evan makes all the important decisions?

Hey, all you Masternodes out there.  Please read up on and think about some of the proposals that were made for this month.  Personally, I like the idea of subsidizing ATMs so that our Users can easily enter/exit Dash at low (Lyon France) to no fees (New Jersey)  Philadashia has been with Dash forever, and thesavoyard sounds pretty solid (this is the internet you know?) check out his info on Dash Central and on his preproposal. Making it easier for people to buy Dash with low fees in this space is essential, and low fee ATMs are paramount.  I think it's budget money well spent.

Anyway, I know we are all strapped for time, so I just wanted to ask MNs to please read these two proposals and vote.  Thanks so much

Satoshi didn't premine anything, majority of people just didn't care about bitcoin or thought it was a scam. Also DASH isn't really premined too.

Yep. The only people that have been "scammed" are those that listened to the haters, trolls, and DASH FUDers over the years and due to being duped lost significant money during this run up. Shame on all the trolls! I really feel for this guy.

This is heartbreaking. The overconfidence of Dash haters is really unmatched.

This is similar in the stockmarket. I watched that for 30 years. The shorts always provide the fuel to drive the final phase of a crazy rally. The majority of them close out by buying at the top , because they cannot maintain the margin. Only a few reap the benefits of the decline, which is all the greater because of the excessive prices reached. A peak driven by shorts can lead to a 90% fall.

This is similar to nothing else. DASH is on its own way. Nothing else. Except the part where Bitcoin weaknesses did it to all top alts.

Many people don't get it because they try to judge by their past altcoin experiences or purely on technical analysis, but Dash's economics, fundamentals and game theory incentives make it a very different animal. So as far as Dash goes, expect the unexpected.

yeah...rudolfaxl, these folks can't even pay (or even attempt to pay) Dashcoin holders for the name of their coin....so they stole it by going around their back and dealing only with Dashcoin dev.
